If I understand the situation well, and I could be assigned to a list, apparently; I guess I would choose this one: 

Oscars 2022 — Best Supporting Actress

Then I just create the list, copy the one from @BonaFideBOSS and create the poll suggestion ?

There are many tools that you can use to record your screen and convert the video to a gif.

I'm using Gyazo for 3 reasons:
- It automatically converts to a gif.
- It automatically generates a sharable link.
- I've been using it for a long time and am too lazy to change.

In summary, it is very simple to use and extremely fast.

You can also try ShareX. It has more features. Both are desktop applications, so you gonna have to install them on your device first.

I would like to do an image poll for the category, Oscars 2022 — Best Costume Design. It would be my third award poll though. I was waiting to see if any new authors indicated an interest first.

I think the Production Design, Costume Design and Makeup and Hairstyling award polls are better served by image polls. That way polltakers who haven't seen all the movies can compare all the nominee's work. ie https://www.imdb.com/poll/gS1xL0D34ms/

Using an image poll for Production Design, Costume Design and Makeup and Hairstyling, since it helps the poll taker make an informed choice. The only downside is that image polls can require high maintenance since images can easily be removed without warning.

The Oscar Award ceremony is on March 27, 2022, so we have a little time to allow newcomers to take the remaining polls. Unless anyone objects, you should be able to create the image version of the poll after March 1, 2022 and I will replace BonaFide's poll with yours at that time.

@dan_dassow​ Thanks, I am intrigued by this move and how much the AMPAS plays it up. No Oscar trophy will be give though. Will they allow time for an acceptance speech or give some other type of trophy for this second-tier award?

I'm assuming since the list currently has 55 choices that you will either split this poll suggestion into two polls or provide a criteria to reduce the poll to 35 choices.

@dan_dassow​  Yes, these are all the movies that are road movies (broadly defined) and have at least one Oscar nomination. According to Wikipedia, "The road movie has been called an elusive and ambiguous film genre.[7] ... Even though road movies are a significant and popular genre, it is an "overlooked strain of film history".[5] Major genre studies often do not examine road movies, and there has been little analysis of what qualifies as a road movie."[14]

I think more than likely I will cull the options by setting some more specific standards, as to what qualifies as a "road movie" or at least for inclusion in this poll suggestion answer pool. 

Alternatively, the most obvious two part division I see are those that are car-based road movies and those that are not. Also, there are two main road narratives: the quest and the outlaw chase. Needless, to say I am giving it some thought.
