FYC:

The record from my Spielberg poll, or maybe it could be added to option #10?

Poll Title: Oscars 2022 Nominations: Firsts, Records and Notables

Which of these 94th Academy Awards nomination firsts, new records or notable achievements is the most fascinating of all?

I would suggest a more carefully worded title and question to be more accurate in the claim. As a lot of these options have modifiers that indicate they aren't really breaking a record for real. I understand a lot a these are being hailed in the press and are not your claims per se. I found only 7 out of 24 to be record-breaking with the rest being split between firsts, notable accomplishments and pseudo-records that use modifers, like "credited roles", "openly gay", "could", and "since" among others. These claims either mislead or obfuscate the fact someone else has already has this Oscar accomplishment or actually holds an even more impressive record. If you abuse them enough, everything can be claimed to be a record or a first time.

For example,

Actress in Most Oscar-Nominated Movies or Oscar-Nominated Best Picture Movies (as 08 Feb 2022)

Current Bess Flowers Scoreboard

173 Oscar-nominated Movies (Credited & Uncredited)

26 Oscar-nominated Best Picture Movies (Credited & Uncredited)

Current Cate Blanchett Scoreboard

23 Oscar-nominated Movies (Credited & Uncredited)

9 Oscar-nominated Best Picture Movies (Credited & Uncredited)

Bess Flowers' appearances in 173 Oscar-nominated titles are 7.5 times the amount of Cate Blanchett's 23 Oscar-nominated title appearances. If you are just comparing Oscar nominated Best Pictures, Bess nearly triples Cate's total.

Plus, even the use of "credited roles" as a modifier is suspect, since Hollywood used to only credit the main characters for decades. So, being in the most Best Pictures as a credited actress, may be more a function of when those films were made, rather than how significant your role was in them. What gets an on-screen credit nowadays, is far different than what used to get an on-screen credit. Its not a fair or legitimate all-time record, if you change the bar midway through as to what qualifies or only started counting recently.

This list of LGBT Academy Award winners and nominees details the accomplishments of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people within the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Individuals are identified as LGBT though they may not have self-identified at the time of their nomination. There are two dozen lead actresses and a dozen supporting actresses that preceded 2022 with their own Oscar nominations and many years where there were two or more acting LGBTQIA+ nominations in the same year. Plus, if someone is basically alike to another, but chooses a different term Queer vs. Gay vs. Lesbian vs. Pansexual vs. Questioning  to self-describe, how does that affect the record counting stats, when it is more a matter of what term is in vogue?

could've should've would've
I would keep all the answers, just check your claims and fix the title and question, so the answers fit into a first, record or notable category.

#7 is not a record. There were more first-time acting nominees last year.

Also, if you copy text from another source I think you should at least mention the source.

For me there is a difference between gathering information from various sources and copying their texts.

I've made a few changes. The current version does seem like how I'd have done if I wrote everything in my own words.

Since there's no way I would have analyzed these achievements by simply watching the Oscars, I had to look up on the internet and it was easy for me to just copy-paste what I read because I would have typed the same thing after finding out about them.
