Jen, The size of the Poll Watch blog (https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=3900394678511523241#allposts) entries are already large. The Excel files are the only feasible way to include all of the information you and others wish to see.

How can I find the list upon which a poll is base? All IMDb polls are based upon IMDb lists. To find the list upon which a poll is based, replace "poll" with with "list" in a poll URL. If you receive a 404 (page not found) error, the author of the poll deleted the list. If the list is deleted, the poll cannot be updated. Pencho15, Thanks again. Most of what you suggested worked great. I will not further categorized any poll that's been closed (zzClosed) or removed (zzRemoved). I added Amazon as a category. One of the polls you suggested was closed. I also found a few more polls that I categorized as Amazon. I added VideoGames as a category. Also I suggest a category for personal information about IMDb users where polls like this could fit: http://www.imdb.com/poll/9pCXyIaW0QM/and other about beautiful persons where polls like this could fit: http://www.imdb.com/poll/nOuMQkmyOuI/ but I don't know how can they be titled I'm not certain what to do with this suggestion. What will you do with polls that fit in two categories? When a poll fits within two or more categories, I look for the best fit. If I cannot determine a best fit, I arbitrarily choose the category. I added IMDb-India-Spotlight as a category, which DC suggested below. This category will take precedence over Indian. I removed the Indiana Jones from the category Indian.

I'm confused about the difference between Indian and IMDb Indian spotlight. It seems to me they can be merged.

Pencho, DC will probably have to provide guidance on the distinction, if any. I believe that IMDb-India-Spotlight are polls that have been featured on Indian Spotlight (https://www.imdb.com/india/), whereas Indian polls are polls related to India that have not been featured on Indian Spotlight. Even if there is a distinction, there may not be enough Indian polls to break them out separately.

I think you should proceed with merging them and just call it Indian as it was, there's not much difference and the longer name may be more confusing.

peaspot, Thanks for pointing out that this poll (GOTG 2 - Favorite Song From Awesome Mix Vol. 2) belongs in the MCU category. I will include this correction in the next update. This is definitely a work in progress and there are probably quite a few polls that I've placed in the wrong category. I fully agree that polls can fall into multiple categories. I hope to eventually allow for multiple categories. Unfortunately, multiple categories would complicate updating the list and would make a very long list even longer. One possible solution would be to assign a poll to a primary category and include a note that the poll also falls into other categories. For example: GameOfThrones ... vote Friday Face-Off : Game of Thrones vs Lord of the Rings (Also: LotR) ... Gangster

Pencho15, Thanks for the feedback. I changed the categories for the polls as you suggested. I will double check the remaining polls that are marked closed to make certain they are actually closed. It's possible that when IMDb staff removed polls based on character lists they re-opened closed polls as a side effect. I retained the category Razzie and added the BadFilms. The Razzies is a major award ceremony; I believe it deserves a category. Other polls may fall into the BadFilms category.
