Horror comes in many shapes and has so many different effects on people.
Here's the Top 35 of the best horror movies according to TimeOut's writers. Their site right there
IMDb list: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls507697085/
IMDb poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/YjPD9hO60NI/
Which horror movie do you consider the best from their list ?
Do you have any suggestions of movies that they could have added to their list ?

Sad to see 'The Shining' wasn't on the list.
My vote:
The Witch (2015)

Welcome to the poll board BenWakizashi and thanks for your suggestions.
Usually, lists based on personal opinions are not selected as polls, so it would be better if you could have a source or some specific criteria as to why did you choose the movies that are on your lists and not others.

Short answer: An American Werewolf in London is my favorite horror film, but that is admittedly for personal reasons. I grew up with the film, and it was a favorite of a small group of my friends when were in high school.
As for your list, I have seen 19 of the 24 on you list, and like all of the ones I have seen. Alien, The Exorcist, and The Night of the Living Dead would all make my Top 10 list of all time best horror movies. I probably would say that Cube and Sunshine were more science fiction than horror, but that is splitting hairs (and subjective). The only thing about your list that I thought was a little odd is that there were no horror films made before 1965.
If you haven't seen them, you might try: The Birds, Black Cat (1935 version), Black Sunday/Black Sabbath, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Cat People/Curse of Cat People, Curse of the Demon, Frankenstein/Bride of Frankenstein, Dead of Night, Freaks, The Haunting, Horror of Dracula/Brides of Dracula, Night of the Eagle, Nosferatu, Peeping Tom, Psycho, The Seventh Victim, Vampyr, and the original Wolf Man. All of them were made before 1965.
Again, I like all of the films on your list that I have seen.

Hi,
IMDb polls have a maximum of 35 options. You could use the top 25/30/35 from their list.

Hi @BenWakizashi,
Welcome to the IMDb Poll message board. Thank you for your poll suggestion.
Polls are limited to 35 choices. I recommend that you use one of three methods to select 35 films:
1) Rating
Best Horror Movie (Sorted by IMDb Rating Descending)
https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?lists=ls507697085&sort=user_rating,desc
2) Popularity
Best Horror Movie (Sorted by Popularity Ascending)
https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?lists=ls507697085
3) Number of Votes
Best Horror Movie (Sorted by Number of Votes Descending)
https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?lists=ls507697085&sort=num_votes,desc
= = =
TimeOut is the form that the TimeOut uses for its site. Please update your list (https://www.imdb.com/list/ls507697085/ ) to use this form.
= = =
I recommend that you change the title of your (https://www.imdb.com/list/ls507697085/) from:
Best Horror Movie
TimeOut's Best Horror Movie

Please correct:
Which horror movie do you consider the best from their list?
I would also suggest adding a space between the actual question and the next one, like this:
Which horror movie do you consider the best from their list?
Do you have any suggestions of movies that they could have add to their list?
Discuss it over here

Congratulations on your first live poll Ben.
Now that your poll is live, please edit this thread it to move it from the idea to the praise category, and change the title from poll suggestion to live poll
