Take it as a honor. I'm guess that BonaFideBOSS only has failed, because you have such a honorable personality like the mature women in my polls. Even though your are very much younger. It's your mental maturity that leads to wrong assumptions. By the way, I think that high age is no barrier to love a women. If I wasn't married, I could imagine to have a liason with a woman 10 to 15 years older. Age doesn't make a woman unattractive. If she has a fine personality she will always find someone. Even younger guys. I think women should stopp thinking about their wrinkles and just feel fine and like themselves. So no one can harm them with speculations about their age. I think that subject is just so sensible, because humankind makes it sensible. Woman should also get the same paid for their work like a dude would get for same work. Just to carve into stone that women are the same worth as men. Let's rock. :D

I hope I found the right words. I'm known to tap into each blunder I can find with best intentions. I'm a blunder magnet, so I understand the many missunderstandings in humankind.

@Breumaster​ In my opinion, the problem is that sometimes saying age creates distance, my face usually does not match my age and this is often a problem for me (of course, it may not be clear in my photos).
Sometimes I talk to people who are younger than me, they think I'm the same age as them, but when they find out that I'm about to turn thirty, they distance themselves a little from me.
I think that this distance makes us sometimes, we don't want anyone to guess our age and sometimes questions, for example for a girl: "You are 36 years old, why aren't you married?" And you should say to that person: It has nothing to do with you.
You are right about falling in love, many boys fall in love with girls who are older than them, but usually societal pressures them.

The worth of life-experience often is under-estimated. I don't like these - on my view - social conventions which tear people apart from being free beings. We surely need conventions to make our society worth living together. But no one is hurt when your spouse one or two decades older. Look at the french president who married his teacher. Chapeau! :D

If someone wants to marry that's ok, but I also think no one should be forced to do.

@Jessica​ A quick look at your profile page is enough to realize you are around 30 (just like me). Your favorite movie is Fellowship of the Ring as you have mentioned and your favorite TV shows are Big Bang Theory and Friends. You also have rated Stranger Things with 10 stars so it would be impossible to be an elderly woman.

I'm not sure that I would consider being age sixty years to be "elderly", but definitely age seventy years is the contemporary start of senior citizenship. I must admit that I didn't know that Dan was more than a decade older than Col. I sort of assumed that they were closer in age.

I don't want to follow this conversation, but what I want to say:

There is no need for us to interact about someone personally, although basically, we are people who digitally do not know each other, who are met through this forum site, who sometimes have feelings of curiosity about each other, and it is normal as we interact on social media, without knowing him in the world of reality, but only in the digital world.

So we just need to read someone's sign from a post on this site, like semiotic theory, if you've ever studied that theory. In my opinion, it is the most effective solution to avoid misunderstandings, which is to keep your perception of someone, just read the sign from someone, and keep it in your mind so that you don't need to convey it on this website forum.

ACT_1, I thought that Vic is a woman, because of the profile picture used on Get Satisfaction and Sprinklr, but maybe I'd been mistaken all this time. I mean, "Vic" could be short for "Vicky" (diminutive of "Victoria") or "Victor". (But come to think of it, maybe "Vicky" could be a nickname for males or females, just like "Nicky" and "Sammy".) Sometimes guys do use pictures of girls for their profile pictures, like Arias (for a time) with Wednesday, or Maxence (for a time) with Pandora's Box.

Sadly, there were a few people who abused the the IMDb message boards. Many of the boards were filled with spam. Others posted links to phishing, illegal streaming videos and unsavory websites. Still others doxed other users and posted insulting content against other users and celebrities.

With literally millions of message boards, it became impossible to police this quagmire.

One of the reasons for the boards closure had to do with migrating the website software from the old software platform to the last generation software platform and now the current/upcoming software platform, much more compatible with the modern mobile device experience. A justification couldn't be found for finding (or creating) a suitable upgrade for a number of IMDb features, the site-native messaging system being the only one not considered niche. Ultimately one of the things made clear was that having a message board system (complete personal inboxes in addition to public boards) is not really what IMDb is about. Certainly, having suitable software wasn't the only problem, as mitigating abuses commenced through an online communication system that is available around the clock requires a full-time qualified staff/volunteers in quantities scaled with the participant base. Qualification is the most challenging part, because nobody wants lazy, tyrannical, draconian, vindictive or corrupt moderators, or individuals who would abruptly resign from properly serving the function of moderation, leaving the recipient of their services to deal with the problems alone or temporarily closing the venue until replacements can be recruited.

I'm hoping that some kind of site-native private messaging system is reintroduced within twenty years, and maybe eventually public forums to accompany it. Alas, by then, there might be too many draconian statutes governing the world-wide Web, and you can bet that the emergence of such policies would be commenced in the name of protecting minors. All it takes is for one prosperous sovereign nation's government to mandate strict obedience with procedures "intended" to protect people's rights. Who knows? Well, maybe the better thing to hope for is the return of biographies/filmographies/galleries for story characters.

Even then they should have managed to put the software-design into the old form. They could have put the poll-section to the front of the new pages. It's no wonder that there are so less votes for each poll. I would have reached the 100.000 votes long ago. Well, I'll wait. It's not sooo important. More important is to have fun here, meeting interesting guys and learning something by looking beyond the box.
