Removal of IMDb Account “Sign in with Facebook”
Effective October 06, 2022, you will no longer be able to use “Sign in with Facebook“ to access your IMDb account. You can maintain access to your account and any saved information by setting a password on your IMDb account using the reset password process. Once you have done this, you will be able to use the “Sign in with IMDb” option for any future logins.
If you previously used "Sign in with Facebook" to access your IMDb account, please take the following steps to retain access to your account:
- Go to the IMDb Reset Password Page.
- Input the email associated with your Facebook account and select "Continue". You will receive an email with a link to reset your IMDb password.
- Return to the IMDb sign in page and select "Sign in with IMDb" to log in to IMDb with your email and new password.
If you have previously followed these instructions or have already set a password for your IMDb account, please return to the sign in page and use the "Sign in with IMDb" login method.
If you do not reset your password, you will not be able to access your IMDb account and the associated data (e.g. contributions, lists, ratings, recommendations, etc.).

I registered on IMDb years back with an old e-mail (I don't have access anymore), a few years back I opted for Facebook login. A few days ago I noticed that I was not logged in on my desptop, that's when I found out abot Facebook login not beeing on option anymore. I followed the steps to change my password, but the e-mail never came, I checked my spam folder, as suggested on another tread, but nothing there.
Funny thing is, I'm still logged in on my phone via Android App, so I know my User ID, but can't change anything from there.
Is there an option to recover my account?
It would be a shame to loose a watchlist with 1700+ titles on it.

I'm having the same issue regarding having a facebook login before, and now that I had to switch to an IMDB account using the same email as my facebook email, my watchlist is gone.

Hi,
I can't log in to my account. I think it was via Facebook because I have tried logging in with my email addresses and none exist in IMDb's database.
I do have access to my account on my phone but I can only see my User ID, no other info is available on the app.
How do I attach an email to my account or recover access in the browser?

Hello,
i had a 10 years old account named "blindblindblind".
I made a new one to claim my page as a Director, but now all my ratings and watchlists are gone.
I tried to log in to the old one, putting my fb password, but i never got the email.
Can you fix this?

Hi, I cant reset my password. I gave the Facebook account email but it said there is no account. What to do? I need access to that account, there is a watchlist, and other lists that I need to access. Please help.

I signed up for imdb a long time back using facebook. The email address linked via Facebook has since been deleted since I use a different one now. I was signed out of the imdb account and now can't log in since I do not have the email address and Facebook login is no longer allowed.
I have about 1600+ ratings and 600+ titles in my watchlist. I desperately want to recover the account and if not then atleast get access to my watchlist. Can somebody help me out with this?

I've had my account since 2012 and rated almost 3k movies with various other activity - I'm on IMDB.com more than any other site!
I'm really nervous because I have an account linked to Facebook with an old, inaccessible email address. How can I change me email address and password? I'm really worried I'm going to lose the 1000s of hours of the work I put into my account.
Happy to pay or upgrade my account? Whatever it will take. Thank you!

I followed the steps to sign in using "Sign in with IMDb" instead og signing in with facebook. This made me loose all my ratings and my entire watchlist. How do I get this back?

I originally saved my account via Facebook a few years ago and had to make changes to due personal device transfer recently. Unfortunately it instead created a brand-new blank account, which I didn't want to do. My information is still saved onto the site, but is there a way I can get full access back to the original account again?
I did try logging back in multiple times, but it always seems to set-up a brand-new account over and over and over and over again. Instead of allowing to just log in - I had to sign in using something else. Is there any way I can fix this problem and get back access properly with all the stuff I saved onto the site (ratings and lists) through another way without restarting it by "Sign In"?

Hi. I believe I used facebook to create my account. I was trying to login to add a new credit to my profile, but realized facebook is no longer supported. I assumed I also had my email associated with the account, but that wasn't the case, as the login failed and I ended up just creating a second account.... How can I gain access to my profile again, and connect it to my newly created, email associated, account? Thanks in advance!
