Live Poll: Hollywood's Real Life Couples on Screen

Intro:

Sometimes real life couples appear together on screen. We confined our choice on married couples and couples that married close after a production they acted in.

Which of these married or meanwhile divorced couples is your favorite?

Tell us here.

Suggestions:

Please give me only images with real life married couples in a movie scene. You can see if they were married by the little "divorced"-note, or simply if you know that by yellow press. No TV-series' scenes, no documentations. Please orientate on my examples, the options I stated in the list. Married LGBTQ+'s are ok, when they are married at the time of the taken scene or were formerly clearly together as one - enduring to the timestamp of their marriage. Same for classic couples like in the Amber heard and Johnny Depp example.

Thank you, Brijesh! That's great help! Were these all married while or straight after a movie appearance? Just if you know impromptu. Else I'll check all if they match the criteria. I'll put them on the list. Great! :D

Yes, I read some of the description and it seems all/most of them were married at the point of filming.

I've completed the intro with a necessary tag, when people look at it in three years and wonder if the list doesn't fit anymore:

Please notice: The options were created according to January, 2022. Time can change things.

If there are further suggestions, you can still suggest. On the other hand, I think this list is ready to go!

They were also both in Kill Me Again. Would you say, they were a couple in this movie, too? I didn't see the movie, but would pick that movie also up in the option, if it was like that. Thank you anyway, they are on the list now. (Kilmer and Joanny Whalley).

I'll also put Sahra Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. on the list. :D

Just a little question about Gellar and Prinze Jr. Were they a couple in the animated movies, too? If not, I'd leave these out.

Kilmer and Whalley seem to at least be romantically involved in Kill Me Again.

Gellar and Prinze Jr played a couple in Happily N'Ever After, but I'm not sure about the other two (maybe best to leave them out). You should also mention the Scooby Doo sequel, which is where the image is taken from.

@Breumaster,

For your consideration:

George Burns married Gracie Allen (7 January 1926 - 27 August 1964)  (her death)  (2 children)

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0122675/bio

By February 1932, they received their own sketch comedy radio show. The couple portrayed younger singles, until the show was retooled in 1941 and started featuring them as a married couple. By the fall of 1941, the show had evolved into a situational comedy about married life.

The radio show finally ended in 1949, reworked into the popular television show "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show" (1950-1958). Allen would typically play the "illogical" housewife, while Burns played the straight man and broke the fourth wall to speak to the audience.

On January 20, 1996, Burns celebrated his 100th birthday, but was in poor health and had to cancel a pre-arranged comeback performance. In March 1996, he suffered from cardiac arrest and died. He was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Glendale, next to Gracie Allen.

George Burns and Gracie Allen

Film:

George Burns and Gracie Allen appeared together in 14 films. Love in Bloom (1935) appears to be the only film in which they were romantically involved.

Love in Bloom (1935)

A young girl runs away from her carnival family to make it in New York City and becomes involved with a handsome young songwriter.

@Breumaster,

For your consideration:

Mary Pickford married Charles 'Buddy' Rogers (26 June 1937 - 29 May 1979)  (her death)  (2 children)

https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature&roles=nm0681933,nm0736777&sort=release_date,asc

My Best Girl (1927)

A department store's stock girl falls in love with a co-worker, the son of the store's manager; the feeling is mutual though he is engaged to a debutante and focusing on becoming successful without the influence of his father.

Mary Pickford and Charles 'Buddy' Rogers in My Best Girl (1927)

Mary Pickford married Douglas Fairbanks (28 March 1920 - 10 January 1936)  (divorced)

The Taming of the Shrew (1929)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0020479/plotsummary

Adapted from Shakespeare's play: Baptista Minola, a wealthy resident of Padua, is the father of Katherine and Bianca. The younger daughter, Bianca, is charming and has many suitors. But her father will not allow Bianca to be married until her older sister, who is notoriously quarrelsome and bad-tempered, is married first. When Petruchio comes from Verona to Padua in search of a wife, he hears of this situation, and he accepts the challenge of trying to woo and marry the ill-natured Katherine.

As I said, I'm bad in multitasking. I just saw that the movie of Pickford and Rogers was before the marriage of Pickford and Fairbanks. So it wouldn't count! Was there another movie with Pickford and Rodgers? - after the marriage with Fairbanks? If not, I have got to delete the last option.

Sadly, I misread the date of 'My Best Girl' as 1937 instead of 1927. Pickford and Rogers appeared in other films together. Unfortunately, I would not consider them a couple in those films.

Pickford and Rogers need to be removed from your list.

I didn't check it on errors closely and exactly, but if there are no more corrections, I'd say yes.

but I'd take suggestions for the option's-order from poll veterans. ;)
