What is Imdb doing to fix the rating system? Movies like Ocean's 8 are getting low ratings because of trolls and haters.

This is a serious issue. Imdb needs to address it ASAP. Trolls are taking over the Imdb rating system. Imdb needs to be saved. What are the Imdb board members doing to authenticate ratings?

Why do you assume that it's all due to trolls and haters?
People are allowed to have different opinions aren't they?
It could be just people who didn't like it.

It is common for many people to band together and give 1 stars to certain movies. There are open campaigns that urge members to rate movies badly. They pick those movies on ridiculous bases like, it's a female reboot (Ghostbusters last year). They haven't even seen the movie since they rate the movie before its release. Some people rate movies very high because their favourite actors are there, or they give very low ratings to movies cuz they hate someone in it. The rating system is flawed because people are allowed to rate movies not based on constructive, rational reasons but mostly emotional reasons. (Not always, but it happens a lot). People don't even need to prove that they have seen a movie. If they are a member, they are free to click on any star. For this reason, a film can be vulnerable to swarms of haters who band together to sink the film. I want to know what Imdb owners think about this and what they have done to reduce such user activities.
I like Imdb very much, honestly. I make lists, do research and all there. But this flaw of the rating system has always bothered me.
