Suggestion: IMDb Poll Board's Time Travel Destinations

Imagine you had a time machine that could take you to any time and place in Earth's history. Which of these places chosen by the poll board members would you most want to visit? List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls526467966/ Any place and time in history. Either a specific year or day, or a time period (for example 1400s, 1970s). Max 4 destinations per user. And please give me an image if you can. :)

https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0424908/mediaviewer/rm3151272192/ I'd like to be one the opening night of Beethoven's 9th, 7th, or best 5th symphonie. I would like to experience the most exalted music which ever was composed live, conducted by my personal idol. The world premier of the fifths symphony of Beethoven was 22. Dezember 1808 in the Theater an der wien* in Vienna. (Can be also an option for ther users and other music at another timestamp) *https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theater_an_der_Wien

My second pick would be the time When the young Marc Chagall painted "Over Witebsk" (1915), "I and the Village" (1911), and many other pictures. I would like to see him painting his milestones and afterwards talk to him. I would like to understand his intentions from him self. So beam me to 1910 in Paris. ;) https://www.imdb.com/de/name/nm1744391/mediaviewer/rm1923464960

Amir, I'm born earlier and can tell you, the eighties were a very free time. The music market grew and many pop songs which still evergreens were made. It was a time when there were practically no cell phones. If you had to call someone, you had to guess when he's at home or telling your message to his answering machine, such like in the movie Terminator. Everywhere on the streets were phone boxes, where one could put his hard cash into to phone someone. Often homeless people p.i.s.s.e.d. in that boxes, others smoked while phoning. They always stank like latrines. Music was cool. The people had more bonding. There was more magic between the people. But it also was very loud. Everyday's life was slower and people behaved better than today, all-in-all. On the one hand it was very free, but people were more attached to their everyday plan and had to be more reliable. On the other hand, there was more mutual forgiveness. Today it seems all a little loose to me on the one hand and on the other hand there are more compelling living conditions. With the internet revolution in the mid nineties the world began to shrink. The world was very big, when one couldn't make two clicks for getting all things explained. To buy tickets for cinema we had to buy it at the cinemas, today you can order it online. Even though it's lesser effort today, its more expensive. When I went to cinema when I was a kid or later a young adult, there were only celluloid presentations and they had to change between 2 projectors several times, because one roll was only 30 minutes. You can see that in the movie 'Fight Club'. That was standart (without the nasty things.) Once we had a presentation in a local theater. It was Stargate and the scene when the bad guy pushed the button to strike back. Instantly the screen turned to white, because the guy who should change the rolles accidentaly dropped the roll by bumping the table and crushed a 15.000 Deutsche Mark expensive film roll. The presentation was over. Well, the movies also had drop-outs and damages which were obvious after the 200th presentation. Today all of that is digital. Cinema was technically never such perfect like today. If you want to see what a movie looked like, watch 'Death Proof' from Tarantino. The movie is designed to show what a movie looked like, when 200 times watched. ;D (the beginning of the bar scene) I could tell a full week 24/7 about differences between then and now. Some things were better, others worse.

A lot flood into my head but I suppose I'll go with this one: I would have liked to be part of the suffrage movement in the U.S. and also be there to witness the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution so I'll say 1918 through 1928 in the States. That means I would have also gotten to witness the rise of a lot of cool things in the arts: Martha Graham's modern ballet, Surrealist art & literature, and the silent era of cinema. The downside would have been the rise of laissez fare economic policy, ugh. Cool idea, Jess!

I now have the unholy impression of otter visiting the live playing role game. My bad. That's a real bad thought. Right there is easter ahead. But I must admit, it would be a big impact to see Jesus Christ in real. Maybe I could get a drop of his blood. ... But that's selfish, somehow. Bad boy! :(

What is the point lol. If you go back with modern-day knowledge about science and future events, you could probably start a cult around yourself and become a god-like figure. If I went to 30AD, I would bring a chemistry apparatus and gun. Within a week, all Jesus' followers will follow me instead. 🤣

Right now, I would want to visit 1781 so I can have my Kant books autographed, then I would like to have a conversation with him. And, I would love to troll him with stupid trolley dilemmas. Serious answer: Go to the enlightenment period to have discussions with philosophers and important mathematicians.

There is a great film about Immanuel Kant called The Last Days of Immanuel Kant. There is even a scene in which he sings. It is hilarious. I will add a picture to the photo gallery and post the link here when it is approved. It's a hard choice for me as I studied history so I'd have a big interest in visiting many time periods. I have many dark moments I'd like to see, but that would probably not be of general interest, so I'll go with visiting the late bronze age to see Troy and the Mycenaean Greek cities at their most important moment and see if there's something real behind the legends of the Trojan War. - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0332452/mediaviewer/rm1997639424/?ref_=ttmi_mi_1 Also I would like to see the encounter between Europeans and Americans in the XVI Century, in particular the conquest of Mexico and the Fall of the Aztec Empire - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8640370/mediaviewer/rm3346234624/?ref_=ttmi_mi_5
