Jessica, since Dan pulled out the old child stars, I was remembered on my childhood. I don't know, if four kid  would be ok, too. Else I would rather change Urkel with Pippi Longstocking, which was great in my childhood. So it would be Inger Nilsson.

P.S.: If there is no fitting image, Nilsson also played in movie where she played Pippi Longstocking.

I'll stick with three for now, so I replaced Urkel with Pippi.

Thank you. When I was 8 y.o.a. I saw Pippi Langstrumpf - how she was called in Germany - frequently.

On the risk, you'd k.i.l.l. me: There was another kid I often saw on TV when I was the same age.:

Jan Ohlsson - Emil i Lönneberga

I best would like to replace Carl Grimes with Emil, if that's still ok.

These were some of the best kid's TV series. I grew up with them. I first saw these - I guess - with about 8-10 years of age, maybe. Compared to todays kiddy-stuff on TV, these were gold, simply!

Astrid Lindgren is a powerful feminist and did good stories

Another was from Enid Blyton: 5 Friends

One of the best was Marionette Theatre: Die Augsburger Puppenkiste

Patrik Packard - The student Patrick becomes involved in a spy affair during a vacation in Norway with his parents.

Timm Thaler - In this series, the boy Timm Thaler sells his laughter to a mysterious baron (a kind of d.e.v.i.l.-like figure) in order to be able to win every bet. The leading role was played by Thomas Ohrner.

Perine, Pinocchio, Captain Future, Sindbad, Heidi these all are gold!

But to be true, Captain Future was a bloke of a patriarch. ;)

Wickie was pure fun!

The interesting part ist, that I grew up with "Michel aus Lönneberga" ("Michel from Lönneberga")The German ‘ch’ is a throaty, hissing sound. , similar to the sound in the German word ‘ich’. (I, me)I only read here that in original he is called Emil. For me he's Michel. I will never change that. ;)

I know famous five, specially liked the title song in German. I never had a link to 3 Investigators, I must admit. and the other three I must admit I didn't even hear of.

In Western Germany we always had a good link to TV-movies and series of Czechia, Sweden  and Poland. Some major productions that came to us via TV of the three are Pan Tau (Czechoslovakia), Karlsson of the Roof (Sweden, Astrid Lindgren) and Moomins (Poland).

One of the most fascinating was Barbapapa from France. It was one of my favorites, I was always again fascinated about the ideas they had. Great series. Of course we saw "The Muppet Show", no need to link. Everybody knows, The Fraggles and "Sesamestreet". He-Man was also very nice.

Famous Five - British TV series 1978-1979, part-financed by a German company, dubbed into German. Still huge in Germany - they released a full DVD remaster in 2010.

Hardy Boys - ABC series 1977-1979 with Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy. Translated into German along with Nancy Drew.

Three Investigators - No TV series, but became arguably MORE famous in Germany than anywhere else. Published as "Die drei ???" from 1968, became a cultural phenomenon - audio dramas, live theatre tours, over 200 books continuing after the American series ended in 1993. Still active today.

One question: Do you live in Germany or have ties here?

Added, thanks.

I'm glad you picked Iain Armitage, it makes it a bit easier for me to decide on my third pick. :)

@Jessica ,

By the same token, I would have been happy to allow you to use Iain Armitage.

Armitage reminds be a lot of a young Ron Howard.

My first choice is Anna Vjorka, played by Becca Gardner, in The Practice. There was no image so I uploaded a few and am waiting to see if they're accepted.
