conan 1982

Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!

Classic, wanted to involve ACO but I think 12 is a good number and I am staying there, and yes I agree that the opening line in ACO is better than for ex Ripley

@ACT_1

I think that does not count because he does not follow through eith his opening line because he is being interrupted.

"The character who spoke the first line in the original movie "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" was C-3PO. As one half of a famous robot duo (C-3PO and R2-D2), Threepio (C-3PO) is the first to speak in "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" with the following dialogue: "Did you hear that?"

https://brainly.in/question/24945114

I need to watch A New Hope right now because I think you are right, gimme 20 min

I am ashamed, of course that counts and is a really good one, watched it 10 times in a row (opening scene)

There is already a very similar poll:

https://www.imdb.com/poll/4rIL-VSrsd0/

You could perhaps make your poll a "Part 2" and remove the overlapping options?

Also, I don't think it's necessary to have spoiler tags for the opening lines, but that's your call.

@Jessica

Agree, thank you for your input, I mean mine has 12 options and the other one 30.

And if you have to narrow it down to 12 some of the classics like Citizen Kane will be a part of the list.

My question would be that to be featured does this ruins everything?

And yes, I remove the spoiler tags, I just thought it added som tension to the poll.

I suppose "The greatest opening line" differs a bit from Favorite opening line, so it might be OK to include some of the same options.

Though you might want to change your question "Which one do you favor the most?" to "Which is the greatest opening line?" to match your title, if that is what you intended to ask.

The opening line FROM Patton in the movie is great: About dumb bastards dying for their country, but technically, the fist line is "Be seated"
