Live action tv shows
Or keeping it with just three answers. I was with it while deciding to make this poll.

As a kid I watched cartoons and read comics, but comics always came first so that's my vote.
I also remember having many action figures and that may be another source of inspiration (or toys in general) if you are still interested in this poll you may consider it.

I think this is a good idea and am surprised that it's never been done before.
The "c" is "choices" should be capitalized in the title because IMDb likes the titles to follow the same guidelines that they use for everything on the website.
May I suggest a few other edits and one revision to the intro? (below in bold)

I chose my favorite superheroes when I was a child from either comic books or Saturday morning cartoon shows. As an adult and senior citizen, I do still have a soft spot in my heart for a few of them, but I NEVER watch superhero movies unless I am taking a grandchild to the theatre. It is about my least favorite genre nowadays.
