Poll Suggestion: No Strangers to Comic Adaptations

Some actors have quite a few roles in comic adaptations, while others prtrayed so much comic book characters that they might as well be multiverse travelers. Who of those actors who portrayed several comic book characters in different adaptations (at least some of them being live-action) is your favorite?

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls026837238/
Poll: TBA

Jessica,

Yes, Nikolay has admin rights. I simply forgot that he did.

Dan and Jessica.

That's okay, especially since Dan notified me about the correction. I do have admin rights, but help is always a good thing.

It's a good one, but I think the text in some of the entries may be way too long.
Perhaps it would be sufficient to only have this in each entry:
4 characters in 4 comic adaptations   ...and so on.

Or, only list a few examples of the roles they have played.

Also, some corrections to the intro:
...while others portrayed so much ...

Which of these actors who portrayed ...

Great thanks for corrections, Jessica! Amended!

It will be extremely hard for me to remove the long lists, though, because they took days to research and categorize: it was perhaps the longest I worked on a poll suggestion so far.

Would there be any problems with how it will reflect in the poll?

There may be difficulties publishing your poll if there is too much text, but it's hard to know beforehand. Dan can probably tell you more about this.

Generally, a poll is easier to view if there is less text in each entry; too much to read may cause voters to lose interest.

Nikolay,

Your poll suggestion is obvious a labor of love. I recommend that you retain your original list as a reference and make a copy of the list to use for the poll. You could then use shorter description for each choice.
Unless there are two line breaks between lines, the poll software removes line breaks. For example, this is what would be shown for Clancy Brown with a scroll box. Only four or five lines of text are shown in the scroll box.

54 characters in 38 comic adaptations: 1. Roger Lassen in Tales from the Crypt (EC Comics) 2. Lex Luthor in Superman: The Last Son of Krypton, The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest, Superman, Superman: The Animated Series, Superman: Shadow of Apokolips, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, The Batman, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (DC) 3. Okay, will do the shorter version a bit later!

I wonder whether it is possible to have a link to a fuller version somewhere, so that interested people could visit it?

Nikolay,
You could include a link to your reference list in the list you use for the poll and in this thread.

Nikolay,

Have you had a chance to create a more poll friendly version of the list? If so, please post a link in this thread.

Dan Dassow, unfortunately, so far I'm yet to lay my hands on this. Busiest Autumn ever! Which is actually kind of a good thing: it's like it's trying to compensate for some inactive months.

Nikolay Yeriomin,

Much as I would like you to create polls, I would much rather have you create films.

Dan Dassow, it is one of the reasons why Autumn is busy. ;)

Look at Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith and rip thorn in “Men in Black” because “The Men In Black” was a set of limited run comic book series “originally published by Aircel Comics. Aircel would later be bought out by Malibu Comics, which itself was bought out by Marvel Comics.”. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_M... That is why they are on my poll. MIB.

Great idea and a tough one to vote! There's many to choose from so I'll make my vote according to how many roles I've liked from each actor. Chris Evans, Ryan Reynolds, Mark Hamill, Ron Perlman and Karl Urban are close contenders, however I think I'll vote for the legendary Stan Lee despite him only making cameo appearances.
