Live Poll: A Poll Story

Well, I'm open to suggestions.

Are there rules? I could suggest:

Asking users for their fears.

or

The search for the most underrated movie.

But I'm not really sure, if they qualify. ;)

I didn't go by any rules except that the polls should be milestones or stand out in some way. 

I know it may seem a bit random, but it's just meant to be a fun collection of some different types of polls.

But I guess I can't just add any poll from any category - that way the list would never end. :)

That's interesting. But I think it shouldn't be a poll with 30 votes or something like that.

In a poll we celebrated Beethoven's 250th birthday.

In other polls we honored the most honorable deceased movie actors.

As I said, it can't just be any poll (no matter how good they are).

I tried to use some logic and make it fair by choosing the most voted poll of different types (image, character, face-off, poll board etc.), but it wasn't my intention that we should all nominate a favorite, as we have done that before.

Why not? Except it would be the 10.001st poll. For 10.000 you'd have to make a special option.

I like the idea of a self referential poll. Even though I personally like the idea, it's not critical. If this poll is popular, including this poll as a choice could be added later.

I agree. I also think it would be cool, especially having the first and most recent poll as two options in the same poll, but it's probably best to only highlight other polls, which is the whole purpose of the poll. :)

Sure, I guess it would be nice to have that number among the options.

Sadly, Rafael's "Who are you?" poll is a character poll and is no longer available for voting.

Let me echo what Jess posted: Thanks to all the poll authors, poll board members, poll administrators, voters and IMDb Staff for helping us reach this incredible milestone.

If someone took all 10,000 polls and it took on average one minute per poll, it would take 6 days 22 hours and 40 minutes to take all the polls, 1 hour and 20 minutes shy of one week.
