For people who don't know it, "Grease" was orginnally set in Chicago. In fact, the play premiered in Chicago.

Meanwhile, I question the existence of Grease (1971) as a film. It seems implausible to me that someone would have attempted a film version of the stage play that would have premiered on screen less than a month after the debut of the stage version. If they did produce such a film, they don't seem to have taken much from the stage play for the film version, given that there are no female characters listed, nor even any characters with names.
Given that the trivia indicates that the film was "inspired by" the stage play, maybe the film represents one scene with a loose connection to the play's characters, rather than a full-length feature, but that still doesn't explain how they would have had time to make it and put it on screen less than a month after the play's debut.
I'm not questioning the inclusion of Grease (1971) in dgranger's poll, since if it exists it most likely would have taken place in Chicago; I'm questioning its inclusion in IMDb altogether.
If you want a film to replace either of these titles in the poll, would you consider While You Were Sleeping (1995)?

If you combine all the Dick Wolf TV shows you could put more titles in. And Blues Brothers - you could just put a note: or the 1998 sequel.
And you could combine all the versions of Chicago (the musical).
Breakfast Club is set in a fictional town called Shermer, IL, not Chicago.
"Hill Street Blues is the story of an overworked, under-staffed police precinct in an anonymous inner city patterned after Chicago."
Grease 1978 movie description: "A musical about teens in love in the 50's! It's California 1959 and greaser Danny Zuko and Australian Sandy Olsson are in love. They spend time at the beach, and when they go back to school, what neither of them knows is that they both now attend Rydell High."
Bleacher Bums has 50 votes...why include it?
FYC (I'm not a huge fan of some of these but they are well known enough that they NEED to be included). Maybe you want to do one list for TV and one for movies?:
The Fugitive
The Public Enemy
My Best Friend's Wedding
While You Were Sleeping (seconding)
High Fidelity (a must)
Wayne's World
Married with Children
Prison Break
Divergent
Barbershop
I, Robot
Primal Fear
What Women Want
My favorite that is less popular - Crime Story.

Thanks for pointing out the typo. The program automatically does that when you use a period in an abbreviation before it. You attention to detail made me also notice that I forgot to type a period after the "A" in U.S.A..
On "Grease", I'm going to remain firm because I got source after source that do say the play is set in Chicago. It is Hollywood who bastardized it by relocating the setting to Southern California instead filming it on location in Chicago. As I said before, a person with a good ear can tell something is off when you can hear stereotype New Jersey and Brooklyn greaser accents coming out of the mouths of the students who are supposed to be southern Californians.
I can tell you are not a Chicago Cubs fan. The play is a very well known play here in Chicago and to Chicago Cubs fans. It is set in the left field bleachers of Wrigley Field. It showcases compilations based of a certian group of hardcore Cubs fans who showed up at every home game of the Chicago Cubs in the sixties and seventies. They called themselves the Bleacher Bums and wore special shirts and hats (not shown in the play). They would harass the other team. Even the owner of the Cubs at the time, Phil Wrigley, would pay for their transportation to away games so they could harrass the other team. The play is very Chicago. Besides, look who plays in it! If you ever want to see the vary early Chicago work of Denis Franz and Joe Montena and what got them noticed by Hollywood and TV, this is the one to watch.

"in" should not be capitalized in the title of your poll suggestion.
Please change the title from:
This Is Chicago In the Movies!
To:
This Is Chicago in the Movies!
= = =
