It's good when the rings are magical artefacts, but when you look at the list you'll find Sandler in 'Uncut Gems', where he trades with story driving rings (sportleague). Many story turns depend on these rings in this movie. They are not magic. Same deal for one of the only six existing rings, Frank Sheeran gains in 'The Irishmen'. It's a key scene that tells how much the cons trust him.
