Live poll: Favorite Movie With Car, Truck, or Motorcycle in the Title

List page: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls521682445/

Poll page: https://www.imdb.com/poll/5-K6wKOflGk/

What is your favorite movie with a name of an automobile in the title? Will take trucks, and motorcycles too. Also, since cars are often named after animals, we will take animal moves that so happen to share the name of a name of a car and truck in it, but movies with the actual vehicle in it takes precedence.

Come on you car enthusiasts and racers, I know you are out there! Come to this garage to nominate your favorite movie titled ride. . The title has to have the name of an actual make OR model of a car, truck, or motorcycle. No titles that mention a human name of a car that wasn’t the name of the actual make or model of a car, like “Christine”. However a human named after a car is permissible.

Hopefully all will be better than the ones I had picked!

I really do mean it that you guys do find better ones than what I had posted. However I did enjoy posting “The Yellow Rolls-Royce” that somehow always gets forgotten in these polls. I did enjoy finding out that “Gran Turismo” was the name of a car and not just the name of a video game.
And yes, I do got two Clint Eastwood movies on here. I guess he likes a cars. I know from his past films (“Magnum Force”) and his early tv guest roll on “Highway Patrol”, he rides motorcycles.

@mariojacobs added. I would love to have them. The more, the merrier. I just don’t know or remember. That is why I ask for the car, motorcycle and truck fans to suggest them. Notice a isn’t on there yet? I’m trusting people who are far more knowable than I to help.

@jameshyden007 I did see your post in my email. Thank you for the list of automobiles featured in movies and play a critical part in the story. Much appreciated and e-mail saved.  But I think you misunderstood something. I asking for titles with the name of a motorized vechicle in them. None of the ones you listed have that.
BTW,  you missed the Mach 5 and 6 in “Speed Racer”, all the James Bond cars, and the special build by the ford motor company of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in, of course Ian Fleming’s “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. Yes I did notice you had put 007 in your user name. Fleming did write the story that CCBB is based on.

@dgranger ,

For your consideration:

Supercar (1961)

The adventures of the crew of Supercar, an amazing land, sea, and air vehicle, based at a secret laboratory in the Nevada Desert in 1961.

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man

Two lone riders hold up a bank's armoured car to save their friend's bar from imminent foreclosure. Soon, the mission goes awry when they discover the vehicle's unexpected cargo.

@dan_dassow thanks for the “Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man” and Supercar”.
With “Supercar”, I had trapped myself by putting “Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang” on the list. so “Supercar” is on the list to stay. But here is a fun fact for you. When they made CCBB, several versions of the car in all it’s stages had to be made. All still exist today in museums except the version that converts to a hovercraft. That one was scrapped. The main car that has the most screen time and is seen traveling along the country roads is in New Zealand and is owned by none other than Lord Peter Jackson, the director.

It does not surprise me that Peter Jackson owns the main CCBB car.

Le Mans is a race, but is it a car?

@Peter_pbn want to check the list for the answer? Thank you for that. The more international, aka cars, trucks, and motorcycles from every country around the world on this list, the better. Keep bringing it on!

I saw the list. I was questioning whether it was accurate.

@Peter_pbn I checked. It became the name of a style of racing car like formula 1 or Indy. So it is both. You were actuate on both.

Please also consider changing the title to:

Favorite Movie With a Car, Truck or Motorcycle in the Title

or

Movies With a Car, Truck or Motorcycle in the Title

Please correct

#6: much better than its low rating. They say it is underrated.

#15: I know it is a TV episode but it has the name of a very rare Rolls-Royce.

(Please mention the TV show because the title won't show up in the poll.)

#18: built for the movie

Thanks, but you missed a few:

And since cars are often named after animals, we will take animal movies that so happen to share the name of a name of a car and truck in it,

No titles about cars that were given a human name or a car

#14: Volkswagen Beetle.

#15: which is a spinoff of Upstairs, Downstairs (1971).

#18: built for the movie

#22: Suggested by Pencho15

@Jessica thanks for pointing out the new mistakes. I did correct the old ones, but I had pushed the wrong button and they all came back. I had to go and recorrect them again. Apparently I didn’t get them all. The erors are still on this page but the list page is corrected. I say that because I do remember removing the repetition of “name of” and it reappearing back. But all in all, I still approve of using the website page over the app, or mobile app because the website is easier to use, and more flexible. Someone at IMDb, please make the app more like the website page!(x10 on the !s)

i also had to rewrite a sentence because I had made the mistake of using the plural “We’re” and the singular “Wasn’t” in the same sentence when it is clear the subject of the sentence was plural. I had to rewrite that whole sentence and bump up “Christine” to the front to make the example and the message more clear.
I also removed an unwanted extra period because I accidentally type one in the display text of a link before it and I didn’t want to mess around with the link.

@Pencho15 thanks. The changes are done. But I was hoping more would be put on. I really wanted a more international feel to this. If some one suggests more titles, prepare for this to be updated!

I am going to wait to vote on this one. Too many favorite. And also I really did want to list the forgotten “The Yellow Rolls-Royce”.
