What I recommend has these advantages:
1. The format is simpler.

Oh, sorry if I confused things for you.
The Phantom Menace should not be in your list (it was released in 1999).

Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith are sequels to Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999), and not Star Wars (1977).

I agree with Jessica's comments, I also would limit the sequels to one per franchise or franchise trilogy. There are plenty of franchises that would qualify for this poll, but it seems to be focused on listing all the sequels from the same 4-5 franchises. I would try to get the best 21st century sequel featured of a franchise's multiple sequels.It doesn't make sense to list a movie to me when its the forth best sequel with a franchise and likely would garner any support.

FYC, My concerns would be on these answer options:

#5 Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)  first in franchise trilogy plus duplicate in franchise.
#7 Men in Black 3 (2012) is higher rated plus Untitled 'Men In Black' Spin-Off (2019) looks even better
#8 The Lion King (2019) will be best sequel in the franchise
#11 X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019) looks even better
#15 Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) duplicate in franchise.
#17 ? depending on how you define scope Jurassic World (2015) Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) are even better
#19 close call Terminator Salvation (2009) a tick better rated but more watched, but
Untitled Terminator Reboot (2019) could unseat both as best best 21st century sequel
#23 duplicate sequel Matrix Revolutions (2003) not as highly rated as The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
#24 duplicate sequel Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015) not as highly rated as 16. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011)
#21, #25, #26 Revenge of the Sith is the higher rated sequel over Attack of the Clones of the trilogy original   Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)

  I agree that perhaps the upcoming sequels will be more suitable to be in the list but I have focused on the 21st century sequels that are released until this point.

Simo,
Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith should still qualify for your poll, since they are both sequels of the original 20th century film The Phantom Menace.

Or, as urbane suggested, perhaps only listing the higher rated sequel (Revenge of the Sith) would be sufficient.

Urbane, I don't know what the point would be of putting movies that haven't even come out yet. Because they "look good"? How far out do you want to go with this? If there's a random "I might make a sequel because I have the rights" entry on IMDb with no date release, would you have it on the list? What about a release date of 2022? I think Simo98 has it just right.

Except for Star Trek (2009) - this is a reboot, not a sequel, so should not be included.

Nice poll, Simo! (By the way, I'm so sorry but I forgot what you want to be called - I think I asked you once but my brain has been a bit cloudy recently, lol, so I forgot.) 'Good list; I really love 'Before Sunset' so that will get my vote.
