Swedish singer Loreen has become the second performer to win the Eurovision Song Contest twice, equalling the record previously held by Ireland's Johnny Logan. Loreen won the competition in 2012 with "Euphoria", and took her second victory at the 2023 ESC in Liverpool with "Tattoo".

I don't watch it every year, but I like the concept of Eurovision. (Latin America used to have something similar called Festival de la OTI, but they stopped doing it before I cared).
However, when I do hear the songs, I find out the musical tastes in Europe are quite different from mine. Practically all my favorites this year were eliminated in the semifinals, and songs I actively disliked and found totally awful, like the Finland entry, were the most popular.
That said, the Sweden entry was in the middle of my ranking this year. I hadn't hear the 2012 winner, but after doing so, I liked the 2023 song better.

By the way, I just found a curious piece of trivia. With its 17th place this year, Spain has become the only country that has ended at least once in every position of the show from 1 to 26.
