I recommend that you wait until 11 am on October Doha, Qatar time to run the complete update. Your time is 8 hours ahead of Central Daylight Time. Saturday's polls are typically pushed by 3:00 am Central Daylight Time (10:00 am CEST).

Yeah, it is returning an error for me too. Whenever I'm inactive, I use that thread to track featured polls. This time I had to check your profile to see the comments you posted in that thread.

I saw the latest featured poll when I visited the IMDb homepage today morning and updated my data. Thanks for letting me know by posting it here tho.

Since you have around 108 polls to go to reach 1000 live polls, it will take you around 220 days or around 7 more months to reach that goal assuming that your rate of polls going live does not radically change. That would place the date around the beginning of next year.

Congrats on your upcoming milestone sometime around July 4th. I appreciate and value all the niche polls you have created. Plus, being ranked #12 in polls created @ 252 polls and #52 in total votes @ 100K out of nearly 500 poll authors and millions of IMDb users is a quite a feat.

Amazing work. The page loads so much faster. I'm happy to see that you can do an update in around an hour. Sadly, it takes over 24 hours for me to update the data for my version of the statistics and another 3 days to update the files.

I was able to get choices of all closed, inactive and even deleted polls like "Characters" polls from the Internet archives' wayback machine except for 5 polls.

These five polls are not saved anywhere (I can get the no. of votes for the first two choices from Dan's data but not the choice itself.) RIP --- If anyone has a record for any of these five, please share it here. even a screenshot would do. thanks! <3

We had very little notice before IMDb deprecated character polls. I did my best to archive all of the character lists, character polls and results for character polls, but I missed archiving these five polls.

I will look through my archive of poll information, but most likely these polls are lost to time.

I searched everywhere for the 14 polls that seem to be missing from my data but couldn't find them. I went through every page of IMDb polls and rechecked Dan's data for deleted polls but found nothing that I haven't recorded already. 🤔

I'll keep checking where I made a mistake.

There could be a problem with IMDb's "Total polls answered". (I'm not entirely sure.)

This is what my above statement is based on:

- Total polls currently visible on IMDb = 12,236 (link)


- Polls I've taken (as per my profile) = 3,771


- Polls I've not taken (as per IMDb polls page) = 8,469


Now, if we calculate how many polls I've taken as per the IMDb polls page (https://www.imdb.com/poll/), the result would be 12,236 - 8469 = 3767 (lower than what's shown on my profile)
[ Note that I joined long after IMDb removed the character polls so it's not possible for me to vote on them. ]

Not sure if you counted these or not, but you may remember the 9 Oscar polls that were pushed by mistake in February this year. They were later removed and should probably not have been counted.

Oh lol, I didn't know about that. Seeing that thread for the first time. No, I didn't save those polls.

Even if DC voted on all 9 of them, there are still 5 polls missing. 🤔

I'm fairly certain your totals are correct.

Also, I had originally included the 9 IMDb Staff created Oscar polls in my totals, but removed them when we determined they were created by mistake and removed.

We probably should agree upon a baseline time zone for when updates occur to avoid confusion of when a poll went live.

But in that case the other one (Favorite Chandler Bing Quote?) should also have gone live on August 18 for you.

I get that since Dan and I are in different time zones polls may appear to go live on different dates. But since those two polls were pushed only minutes apart (by Dan), the date for both polls should be the same - Aug 18 for Dan and Aug 19 for me. 

Dan, you can check in our group - you even said at what time you pushed them. :)
