@mariojacobs I thought about him, but was not sure if people considered Little House on the Prairie was a western.

@riverotter

FYI, Westerns do not have to be set in the American West or be between the 1850-1900 traditional time frame. Anything set on the frontier qualifies, especially if it uses one of the traditional Western plot themes. So, certain TV series set in western New York, Florida ("The Yearling" TV anime), western Kentucky (ie "Daniel Boone" TV series) in the early 1800s or late 1700s, so long as the setting is still wild enough to be called "the frontier" qualifies. Plus, you even see titles like the 'Power of the Dog' set in the New Zealand fronitier and a whole bunch of period set in the Australian outback qualify in the movie category from outside the USA. Likewise, you could justify an Australian TV Western dad, if you wanted. I would just state upfront that you are using a broader "Western" definition.

Also, western set in the the 20th and 21st century are called neo-Westerns. So, if you choose you could use more modern western dads like, Eli McCullough if you wanted.

@riverotter ,

Thanks.

The second image in your poll is also Daniel Boone.

Please replace this with this image:

Big John Cannon

The High Chaparral (1967–1971)

Leif Erickson in The High Chaparral (1967)

= = = = = = =

Note: I can see how you chose the second image for Daniel Boone for Big John Cannon. I suggested two possible images for Daniel Boone.

It would be better to use the shorter title you have in this thread:

@Jessica

The verb "is" should be capitalized as Dan suggested.
