Today (September 27, 2025) the live poll: 40th Anniversary of Films & TV Series in 2025 https://www.imdb.com/poll/wx8TSVbiuow_5ddGJ3ppDA/ It was featured on IMDb's homepage, however this poll for some reason it's closed. I don't understand it. Can someone explain it to me why this poll is closed or why the poll was featured if it was closed?

That's a bug which remains at the moment. Peter said all the polls that are released now are closed after 36 days. Seems like they wouldn't or couldn't fix it. To make a featured poll of it simply doesn't make sense. I don't get why they do so.

The staff changed the homepage poll two days ago to one that is not closed. Gabriel's poll is now open. We'll see if they change the poll again on Saturday.

@GabrielFox, Sorry for taking so long to reply. I wanted to verify what happened before replying. The Redesigned IMDb Poll software currently closes polls after around 35 days. I am working with the IMDb Developers to correct this problem and to make sure that polls pushed after July 1, 2025 are not closed and to re-open polls that have been closed. This is an ongoing effort. The IMDb Editors generally select polls for the Home Page at least a few days before the feature the poll on the Home Page. When they selected your poll, it was still open. They did not check whether your poll was still open when they featured it on the IMDb Home Page. When the IMDb Poll Admins discovered that the Home Page Poll (your poll) had been closed, we reported it to the IMDb Editors and IMDb Developers. The IMDb Editors replaced your poll on the IMDb Home Page with a poll that they knew was open.
