Bring back the overview of deleted reviews

I came here from https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/update-to-user-reviews where Karen, official imdb rep, asked us to post ideas for future updates to the imdb review section.

I would like to have the overview back, the one where you could see which of your reviews got reported and deleted. An alternative would be that imdb sends an email like they do every time you post a review. But the way it is right now where you don't even find out about it and have no chance to adjust the review accordingly, it is not so good.

Allow me another bump here. Please bring this feature back. Or maybe instead an option that you receive an email when one of your reviews was deleted just like it happens when a new one is posted.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add support to track deleted reviews.

This is my nightmare. One's deleted reviews used to be accounted for on one's review page, so you'd know if your reviews were deleted. Now, I don't know if I'd even notice if one were deleted--maybe they have been for all I know. I don't read my older reviews as much anymore because it's more difficult to search reviews now.

A while back and by chance, I read one of my reviews and found that supposed inappropriate language (it wasn't, by the way) had been changed by IMDb to something that rendered the statement confusing and grammatically incorrect. To be fair, though, IMDb may have sent me an email regarding this, although I didn't notice it other than that the review had been approved, not that changes had been made to it.

One's review page was great. One could see all of the titles they've reviewed on one page ordered in a few ways with the easy accessibility of one click, and they could check their deleted reviews.

Now, it's impractical that one with hundreds, let alone thousands, of reviews would be able to search or see all of their reviews--instead merely seeing the ones at that top or bottom of the five search options (date, helpfulness, votes, title, rating), which also makes it impractical for one to discover if and which of their reviews have been deleted.

Thanks for doing this. Is there a list where one signs their support for this? It really would be more than helpful to know if something gets deleted (and that is putting it mildly)

@Horst so a list might be coming up. One imdb employe suggested that this issue may be put up for a vote (her exact words: Unfortunately, we do not currently have the option to be notified of a User Review removal or a display to show which reviews have been removed. I have assigned this thread to be listed as an Idea post for a potential new User Review display feature, this will allow other community members to vote on this idea and give IMDb staff the visibility into the interest of this type of feature.) ...

It happened again btw :(
Mississippi Burning was one of the reviews either deleted or removed after it was approved (I didn't check the status since it was posted just the other day) ... but another one got the ax and I don't know which one it is ... checked back until end of December ... seems to be longer ago.

Not sure what this is about - people seem easily offended I reckon - not sure why else they'd flag a review. Unless it's a glitch and imdb deletes reviews by accident

I found some on my own, but it is a pain .... well a pain and way too time consuming to find out which review is getting deleted every other month

@ACT_1 the comments deleted thing/website unfortunately does not work. It only shows me the reviews I currently have on my profile.

And I tend to save the new reviews now, but I did not do that before ... never thought that would be necessary. Especially since there was a time where imdb was showing not just the titles/reviews they deleted, but also the reviews themselves (so you one could check what one had written)

While my 8404 (and counting) are a lot, Horst already has over 10.000 ... so I reckon if they do his or rather save them - why wouldn't they save mine too?

Totally agreed since a review I wrote 15-20 years ago that didn't go against any rules might lightly break one now and get reported by some ultra fragile flower.
