Live Poll: Rest in Peace, Grandma Ida (Cloris Leachman)

This is melancholy time for Mel Brooks and Malcolm in the Middle (2000) fans: Oscar-winner movie and TV legend Cloris Leachman died at the age of 95.

As Malcolm's Grandma Ida, she didn't exactly play the ideal grandmother, that title would go to Betty White (who actually played her rival in the series). The old hag was awfully mean, uttering politically incorrect one-liners that would be shocking if they weren't so damn hilarious and going as far as (in order of gravity) calling her daughter ugly, stabbing Francis' leg with a knitting needle, suing the whole family and having Reese as her favorite grandson.

(To her credit though, she did redeem herself with her sole good action in the whole series: saving Dewey from a truck accident and losing her leg in the process.)

So this is a tribute to the one TV grandmother who didn't exactly go to the Disney school of grandparenting and the only character of the series that was awarded an Emmy; now, check this list of her worst insults or one-liners and simply vote for the most hilariously mean one.
