@Breumaster ,

In my opinion, the introduction and question is well written. I do not see anything to correct.

Hi Breu, I'm sorry I'm late with this but I'm not sure what this means:

A master of nuance - celebrating his talent and artistry today.

Is there a missing word perhaps? I'm wondering who is "celebrating his talent..." Since you're saying that he's a master of nuance (I agree!), it kind of sounds like you're saying he's celebrating his own talent and artistry?

Anyway, 'good poll and I'm glad he's getting a poll. I think that he's quite a good actor who chooses interesting films. Oh, and the intro is very well written once again. : )

Hi, Ruby. I've changed it to:"He is a master of nuance and we are celebrating his talent and artistry today."

Oh, hey, that's totally clear now. How have you mastered English like you have? I wish I could speak and write in another language like that. I'm so jealous, lol. : )

@rubyfruit76 and @Breumaster,

  1. I'm frequently amazed by how well you (@Breumaster) can write English. I'm also amazed by Peter and Jess who both write English better than I do, even though English is a second language.
  2. Many instructors at the German Language Institute in Salzburg, Austria fluently spoke other languages other than German. Students came from various countries: France, Spain, England and Yugoslavia. I had the pleasure of attending the German Language Institute during the Summer of 1973.
  3. One of my instructors for a Berlitz German language course I took through work, Marianne, fluently spoke 8 languages, including German, French, Spanish, English and Hebrew. Generally, Berlitz requires an instructor to be a native speaker of a language. Marianne told us although German was her native language, she also taught English, French, Spanish, and Hebrew.
  4. This is a long-winded way of saying, even though I should be fluent in German by now, I'm only competent in reading and hearing German.

Still the secret is Chatgpt. When it comes to Intros, I decided to let them "check and balance" by chtgpt. I even let chatgpt find better formulations for this and that. It helps a lot to understand the English language better. I'm much more fluent than in earlier times. But it took 8 years to come to that point. So I'm not a genius at all.

At that, English is one of the most easy languages to learn for foreigners of the western world. Asians might struggle more with it.

@rubyfruit76:

Peter is way better than me. I guess he is more intelligent in languages or started earlier. I can only imagine and suppose. On the internet its pretty easy to communicate in English, because you have all the free tools and dictionaries that will help you. I often have to translate with leo . org or linguee, but it does well. To correct a text, chatgpt is a perfect tool, even though I don't use it all the time, because I don't want to become too lazy.

This text is written without chtgpt, just with the help of leo for a few words that I knew, but didn't come to my mind.In a face-to-face conversation, sadly I'm still lost. ;)
