Your poll suggestion is a true Sophie's choice. My initial vote would be for Pixar, but I could easily change my mind.

Always preferred Ghibli productions. They have better story, focus more on bigger issues like ecosystem, better imagination, more adventure on alternate universes, focus on human feelings. While Pixar is more childish.
