What a great poll! I swear, ElMo, I think that your brain, along with its many other attributes, is a great-poll factory. : )  

I know you mention Spacey in the intro; are you going to include him in the list, as well? I'm not sure but he may get my vote -- wow, what a year.

May I suggest three small edits to the (very good) intro? (in bold below: one is just a typo and the other two are my punctuation-nerd suggestions, one of which is a widely unknown rule about no more than one colon in the same sentence)

What is a career year? Well, take 1995 for instance: that was quite a year for Kevin Spacey — three movies, including two iconic roles that made him a star: Se7en (1995), The Usual Suspects (1995) and (to a lesser degree) Outbreak (1995).

Here is a similar list of actors' "3-set of major performances from the same year"; which one do you think had the most impressive year?
