The list is kind of too male centric (especially given the examples ... ((cough cough)) womanizers....
FYC:
Toni Morrison, RIP.
Yoko Ono
Nobel Peace Prize winning women.
Malala Yousafzai
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm5324796/?ref_=tt_rv_t0
Bertha von Suttner (1843–1914), first woman to ever have won the Nobel Peace Prize.
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0903080/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1
Leymah Gbowee. I just added the related image file to the Daily Show episode in which she was interviewed (if this is an image list related poll suggestion). Give it a day for approval and posting (no doubt it will be).
Jane Addams (there isn't an image of her IMDb... though I'm scrounging around to see if the 1914 animated short documentary with her featured ... ((WTH?!)) is online).

I'm sorry that I didn't notice that you changed the intro for August. I had it noted for September. Let me know if you have a preference.

FYC:
Jimmy Carter: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0141699/mediaviewer/rm3510802944
He is the only US President to never use violent action and never kill anyone. Also, after his Presidency, he has been central to world peace and justice for so many people, including women, the homeless, and occupied Palestinians, among many others. He has many times worked as an unpaid diplomacy consultant and advocates diplomatic solutions over military solutions. He also writes books, some that have been very influential, on such subjects.

AL GORE is in the poll with a question of ''Which modern peace activist do you admire the most for their leadership in the use of nonviolence as a means to achieve political and social change?''
Is this list some kind of a joke?
Wasn't Al Gore one of the leading people in organizing a 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia, without the permission of the United Nations World Security Council?
It's a disgrace that Al Gore is in the same poll as many of these actual peacemakers.
