I think you should disqualify comedy as well, and for two reasons:
- there have been a poll about funniest names by Rafael M and it covered many of that options
- these names are more 'funny' than 'odd' and that's the point since we deal with comedies

Now, an intermediary decision would be not to count names from slapstick / absurd / parody movies like the Marx Brothers or ZAZ film where you already expect some crazy names, Ferris Bueller can be a valid option, and Marty McFly too.

Nice to see Technical Sargent Garp - The World According to Garp on the list. I am torn between it and it's other T.S. variations and Gaylord Focker - Meet the Parents.

In some cases, I find the names rather ordinary. At least the first names:
*Philo. Latinization of the Greek name "Philon". Used in antiquity by a few famous people, most notably the philosopher Philo of Alexandria. Revived in recent times as a baby name, the most notable holder being Philo Farnsworth (1906-1971), the guy who invented the first fully electronic television. 
*Gonville Bromhead (1845-1891). Real historical figure. A decorated officer of the British Army, reaching the rank of Major. He fought in the Anglo-Zulu War and the Third Anglo-Burmese War. He is mostly remembered for his role in the Battle of Rorke's Drift (1879), where a besieged force of 139 British soldiers managed to successfully repel the attack of 4,000 Zulu warriors. Bromhead was a member of a family who followed army careers for several generations and was reportedly named after his grandfather Lieutenant General Gonville Bromhead, who served in the British side of the American Revolutionary War. I have no idea if they were related to the Gonville family, minor nobility who established the Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge in the 14th century. 
*Ferris. Relatively common first name and family name, connected to Irish "Fergus" and English "Ferrers". Among other notable people with the name was American military officer Ferris Foreman (1808-1901) who led troops in both the Mexican-American War and the American Civil War, Canadian politician Ferris Bolton (1853-1937), American literary editor and biographer Ferris Greenslet (1875-1959), and American film actor Ferris Taylor (1888-1961) who had about 120 film credits when he died. 
*Longfellow. Mostly used as a family name, but there are two different American towns with this name (one in Minnesota, the other in California). Among the most notable users of the name were politician and college overseer Stephen Longfellow (1776-1849), poet and college professor Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882), hymn writer Samuel Longfellow (1819-1892), and actress and beauty queen Malvina Longfellow (1889-1962).
*Otis. A rather common first name and family name. Among others used by missionary Otis Gibson (1826-1889), stage actor Otis Skinner (1858-1942), inventor Otis King (1876-1944), and musician Otis Redding (1941-1967).
*Daisy. Very common female name, named after a flower. The female names "Margaret", "Marguerite", and "Margarita" are based on the same flower and its names in various languages.
*Elle. Relatively common female name, means "she" in French. Also used as a short form for other female names, such as Amerlia, Danielle, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Eloise, Felicia, and Gabrielle.
*Barton. Common name in several European languages, possibly a variation of the Latin name "Bartolomaeus" (Bartholomew). Also used as a placename for several English towns and villages, and as a family name for families originating there. 
*Rufus. Common as a first name, less frequent as a family name. Derives from the Latin term "rufus", which means "red". Several ancient Romans had the cognomen Rufus, there are at least 9 Christian saints and martyrs called "Rufus", and it was used by various medieval men. The most famous holder of the name was William Rufus, King of England (reigned 1087-1100), but in his case "Rufus" seems to have been a personal nickname. 
*Gaylord. Norman French name, mostly used as a family name. Derives from the French term "gallard" for someone who is "joyful" or "high-spirited". (Not to be confused with the Château Gaillard, a medieval castle which was used as a prison for royal prisoners). Gaylord is used as a placename for several towns and villages in the United States, and has also been used as the name for several unrelated companies. The Gaylord Entertainment Company used to be a major owner of hotels, resorts, theaters, television channels, and film production companies, but has recently changed its name to "Ryman Hospitality Properties". There used to be a Gaylord Motor Car Company, an automobile manufacturer active in the 1910s, but apparently failed to compete with other Michigan-based car manufacturers,.
*Axel. Very common fist name, used in all Scandinavian countries, the Netherlands, Germany, and France. Also used in the Middle Ages as a modification for the pagan name "Askel"/"Askil" and the Hebrew name "Absalom"/"Absalon". 
*Holly. A relatively common family name, used as a modification for various medieval English and Irish names. Less often used as a first name, mostly for females. 
*Forrest. Common both as first name and a family name. Among other users of the name were politician Forrest C. Donnell (1884-1980), eccentric painter Forrest Bess (1911-1977), inventor Forrest Bird (1921-2015), and novelist Forrest Aguirre (1969-). 
*Beatrix. Latin name for ""she who makes happy". Several variations of the name include "Beata", "Beatrice" , and "Beatriz". Common nicknames include "Bea" and "Trixie". Name of several Christian saints. The most famous holder of the name was Beatrix, Queen regnant of the Netherlands (reigned 1980-2013). She is still alive but has abdicated and mostly retired from public life, citing her old age as the reason.
*Juno. Name of a Roman goddess, queen of the gods and patron deity of Rome and the Roman Empire. Equivalent to the Greek "Hera" and the Etruscan "Uni". The etymology of the name is uncertain, though there is a popular theory that it is connected to the Latin term "Iuventas"/"Juventas" for "youth". 
*Archer. Relatively common as both a first name and a family name. The most notable users were probably American freedman and art model Archer Alexander (c. 1810-1879), politician Archer Baldwin (1883-1966), an American immigrant from Tennessee who got elected to the British Parliament, and film director Archer MacMackin (1888-1961).
