In November, it’ll mark 20 years since I first registered on IMDb. Maybe it’s just personal bias, but for me, that was the Golden Age, which lasted until the early 2010s. The logo, the quote of the day, the trivia of the day—not to mention the daily poll—everything had this simple, minimalist between-us format. There wasn’t too much news, the links were tucked down at the bottom, and the whole layout was this perfect blend of white, yellow, blue and shades of black and gray. I feel so nostalgic just thinking about it. And don’t even get me started on the message boards! For me, that second logo embodies the IMDb I’ll always cherish.
