I created an additional poll suggestion for female characters, and this one remains for male characters only.

If the list starts to get too extensive, I'll continue to follow your advice and limit it further.

Please remember that it's good to have clear criteria before suggesting this kind of poll, otherwise it might be difficult to limit the list.

For instance, we had a poll about female characters of the 2010s (https://www.imdb.com/poll/dEOlAuKFLFw/), so perhaps focusing on a time period is a good idea?

I can see your point. My initial thought was "since we're going for the best, I think we can manage to select characters within the number limit".

I know the number is growing, and I still hope we'll be able to achieve the initial goal. Of course, if it becomes overwhelming, I will add additional limitations to the list.

I realize I can't please everyone with a list/poll like this (there are too many options), it's just I always felt like it was missing. I believe that is a common question, and I would like to help provide an answer (:
