Top Contributor Leaderboard for August 2022

Awesome new page and way to show the contributions. Glad to see the leaderboard progress into its own page. The page looks very well and contains more features than before. Thanks a lot for the improvements.

One issue however is that people who have not been on the previous months leaderboard does not get the up arrow indicating an improvement in placement. This applies to me for example, I did not contribute at all last month, and I am first this month. However it claims I have not moved position.

When displaying the contribution count, a comma (or two) would be nice.

Instead of

123465

display

123,465

Not sure why you need so much vertical space between entries, especially when displaying 1000 of them. The word "Items" doesn't really need its own line.

Wow, down last month, I thought I'd had a decent run. Maybe it just FELT like more work, as some of the stuff I did required a lot more research into archive newspapers, etc. Still, disappointing.

I see my highest peak was 48th in April 2021... the decrease in "working from home" days has affected my time.

Still, 151 is OKAY, I suppose...

@Michelle Another thing that should be added to the contribution leaderboard is navigation buttons to move between months. Meaning one for previous month, and one for next (If next or previous exists). Not that it is hard to change the url, but it allows for quicker and more user friendly navigation between the months.

@Michelle While checking out the data and making some calculations I have found that the data given on here does not match the given Top Contributors page.

Could it be because of items that were not included in last years leaderboard and thus overflowed to the next year, or items that were withdrawn in some way?

The image below is the given leaderboard for 2021 while below that again are the actual values when summed up. I get it if it is a small deviation from each other, however this deviation is quite large for some of the users. (Especially as the two first months are even missing from the bottom image, meaning the top picture should in theory always be higher than or equal to the bottom values given)

Example:

inespape-1 - 230k lower on the new page.

matthias_metzger - 270k higher on the new page.

Nomissimon10 - 250k higher on the new page.

Rank 134, my first time in the ranking

I like the historical rankings. It's interesting to see I've been as high as 14 and as low as 81 in an individual month.

I noticed looking at the early months of the leaderboard that some names are included that were not included when monthly rankings were announced, for example MAthePA as number one in March and May 2021.
