Ratings- Attack on Titan / One Piece / Bleach

@Michelle​ the voting system isn't working that well taking in consideration the hate bombing is happening and demolishing the hard work of the animators. 9.9 went to 9.7 after such tweets happen, 1 reviews should be reviewed and analysed in this specific case because its clearly a hate movement.

Please the Attack on Titan episodes are facing massive review bombs. All our favorite episodes of Attack on Titan, even those that are 2 years old have been review bombed over the last 48 hours and all their scores have dropped

There is a discord channel with thousands of users and is being advertised solely to review bomb all Attack on Titan episodes on IMDB

They rate the episodes 2/10 instead of 1/10 to bypass IMDB rating protection system and it is working so far. All attack on Titan episodes have dropped ratings massively in the past 48 hours

A simple check on the episodes will show high recent activity of 2/10 ratings

I am secretly on their discord channel so I know what is going on.

@Sanyazin​ both Attack on Titan and One Piece are facing this issue.

It's started from some users posting old 2021 screenshots of 300 IMDB accounts just for Twitter engagements.

It led to war between the fanbase and now both show ratings are suffering as a result.

The ratings of "Ozymandias" are protected and the review bomb on it was fixed within just 24 hours... I wonder why those of One Piece and Attack on Titan is taking so long to fix

I don't know who is more petty and bored; the rating bombers who boast about getting an episode down from 9.9 to 9.8; or the fanboys who complain about it. 😂

@NYVKE​ it's actually bad if a site like this has no way to protect ratings. How can it's reviews be trusted if it's so easy to review bomb.

I check IMDB ratings before deciding whether to watch any movie or show and many people do too.

Ozymandias was once bombed to Oblivion until fans informed IMDB and it was restored. Same privilege should go to other shows too.

And it's only the beginning because these review bombers created a discord channel solely to review bomb shows on IMDB and in just one day, it's been working massively.

@NYVKE​ yes, IMDB should be able to detect sudden large activity on older shows and episodes. Episodes that are 3 years old getting a sudden large number of 2/10 should raise a flag.

Hi, please check out these episodes of this TV show. It was bombarded with very large campaigns from Twitter groups, and they attacked it and lowered its rating, which led to great anger from fans on the imdb site. Please remove these offensive fake votes and return the rating of the episodes to their place so that they improve. I heard you more in front of people

You've probably been informed of this already, but the more posts are made, the more chance there is for action to be taken. There's been an organized attack by a discord server, with the sole intention of fraudulently lowering the scores of every high rated Attack on Titan episode, we are talking about hundreds if not thousands of sock puppet accounts, this has managed to work and currently many Attack on Titan episodes have lost their 9.9, 9.8, 9.7, 9,6 and 9.5 ratings.

This has been going on for 2 days now. Here you can see the admin of said discord server, who goes by the name "Amir", boasting about it on twitter, and saying he will continue to do it to lower the ratings further.

We implore administration to fix this, a site this important and big should not allow review bombing to happen this much, the mass spamming of 1/10 and 2/10 ratings by all these account must be ignored in light of this evidence, the accounts responsible either suspended or have their ratings dismissed from the final score, thus restoring the ratings of every episode affected back to what they should be if not for these fraudulent accounts and the ill intended mob behind them.

One piece fans have banded together to review bomb Attack on Titan's 9.9 rated episodes. There was 6 and now there is only 1 left in 1 week. They rate the episodes 2 out of 10 to avoid the review bombing criteria. This is ridiculous and someone needs to stop them.

It is not a coincidence that Bleach TYBW has seen a surge of 1s and 2s (especially after One Piece 1074) ever since the One Piece Gear 5 episodes dropped and have been airing alongside Bleach.

@AbdulSubhan​ Bleach TYBW has already been getting downvoted for almost a month now and this wasn't the first time either. Its ratings have dropped even harder than AoT's due to less total votes. They need to treat both of them with high priority.

Dear IMDb Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concerns about the recent fluctuations in the IMDb ratings for the anime series "Attack on Titan." Over the past week, the show has experienced a significant drop in its rating due to what appears to be a coordinated effort by some users to negatively review the series for hateful reasons. Someone called Amir created a Discord server so people can join him to mass review bomb the Attack on Titans episodes.

According to your FAQ, IMDB rating are supposed to be accurate and provide a fun and useful opinion of a serie. However, many people from different communities created many accounts to mass review bomb some of the highest rated episodes of Attack on Titan.
For example :
S4 EP29 going from 9.7 to 9.5 in 2 days (the episode was out in march 2023)
S3 EP18 going from the 3rd better rated episode of all time in IMDB to 9.8 in a few days (the episode aired in 2019)
The episodes of the anime series that were 9.9 are now less. 

All that the fans have achieved over the last few years for their favorite series has disappeared because of a large group of people having fun rating the episodes badly, it's very frustrating.

Perhaps you can check the number of recent votes on the Attack of Titans episodes (last 2 weeks) to see that they're getting mass review bombed. It’s not a few people that are upset about this but the entier Attack on Titan community.

I can send you proofs that this really is a coordinated effort to mass review bomb Attack  on Titan, such as conversations on discord or twitter, people calling to raid the rating with many accounts and being proud about it etc. It became a game and IMDB isn’t made for that, I think that if there is no actions taken by IMDB it will encourage those who will review bomb tv shows or movies.

I kindly request that IMDb take appropriate measures to address this issue, such as investigating and addressing these mass review bombings and ensuring that the ratings accurately reflect the opinions of genuine viewers who use your platform to share their thoughts on movies and TV shows.

Maintaining the credibility of user-generated ratings is crucial to IMDb's mission, and I believe that taking action to prevent such incidents will benefit both the platform and its users.

They have a discord group where they planned to rate the show 2/10 instead of 1/10 to bypass IMDB checks. I'm in secretly on the group so I know what is going on
