Conversation no longer open for comments

We have lots of other old posts of the same nature that are not closed or archived in any way.

Example:

Since polls have discussion links to the threads - as recommended by IMDb's poll designers - we don't really want the threads to be closed.

All closed conversations are archived after 3 years. 

This is not the same as a "Closed conversation" because that option is still available. We did not choose to close these threads - they closed on their own. And as Peter said, we need them open.

We will investigate the exampled older threads without activity that are still open to address that discrepancy, and in the meantime, concerning you request to keep IMDb Poll threads open, we will review this request and follow-up shortly.
