Live Poll: With What TV Family Would You Celebrate the Holidays?

Due to COVID, maybe you won't be able to spend the holidays with your own family so if you could slip into your TV or computer and spend the holidays with one of the families below, who do you think would be the most enjoyable?

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls082222906/

Poll:  https://www.imdb.com/poll/ZroLA9NJDuc/

Suggestions are always welcome, of course, but, in this case, I'm practically begging for ideas, lol. There are still some families that I may add but I've also hit a wall and am drawing a bit of a blank so your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I did a series of polls six years ago that asked the opposite of this question but I may actually use some of the families from those polls for this one. Many of those families and series I would never use for this poll because they're just too pathological (like the Bates family from "Bates Motel") but there are some, like the family from "Modern Family," that I think would work for this poll as well as that one. You can certainly let me know what you think of any of those but I'm mostly looking for fresh options, especially because there are  many TV series that I haven't seen. (By the way, the links to that other series of polls is in the intro of the list itself.)

Guidelines: Any TV series and mini-series that had original episodes air in 2000 or later will be considered.

FYC: Días de Navidad or this photo Unfortunately I don't remember the family name and I couldn't find it, but this Spanish mini series from Netflix is precisely about four sisters and their family with three episodes occuring on three different christmas days through the years.

The sisters names are: María, Esther, Adela and Valentina.

Their first names are good enough; thank you! I'll add them tomorrow.

I noticed Downton is also in one of your previous lists. If you like, I thought of a more current alternative: the Royal Family from The Crown. (I realize they too could easily go in "least want to spend time with".)

I was wondering about the Royal Family. Since you think that they fit, I'll definitely include them. That series is so popular, too. I also added the Crawleys and the Roses. I added the Roses before I saw that you had a really good holiday picture for them so I'll probably change the image and go with the Christmas-y one that you found.

Thank you, again!

The "Shameless" crew were on my "opposite of this" poll (families you'd want to stay away from) but what do you all think: I seem to remember them as charming enough that you might want to spend time with them, even if just to be entertained? (I just want to make sure I stay away from violent families or families with really disturbing circumstances.)

Also, I've never seen "This is U" but from the description, they seem harmless enough; am I right?

Thanks so much!

Sorry, Ruby. I've missed that you only want tv-series-families. I'll think of some. :D

Hi Breu! Definitely, The Golden Girls qualify as a family, I think. These are all good suggestions but I had originally thought only series since 2000 and was going to try to keep even more current than that. I'll see how many suggestions I get and how many more current ones that I may come up with but, if I have room, I'll change the parameters and add at least some of these. And, of course, I can also always add the "Golden Girls" as "the Betty White option," which I miss seeing, lol.

Thank you! (and let me know if you think of any families from more current series)

Sorry for that.  But also thank you for the Betty White option. ;)

Nandor, Laszlo and Nadja

(not a usual family, but they've lived together for over 100 years)

And I agree "This Is Us" would probably be a good option.

Thank you, Boss! Originally I was going to keep it to series since 2000 but since I don't have anywhere near 35, I'm thinking that I might take it back to 1990. If I do, I'll definitely add them -- 'good suggestion.

I haven't seen all of this series, I was just looking for families among the most voted of the last 20 years, from them, FYC:

The Pierces from Black Lighting (Anissa, Jennifer, Jefferson and Lynn [not in the image],

The Bartowskis from Chuck (Chuck, Sarah, Ellie and Devon)

The Reagans from Blue Bloods (Frank, Danny, Erin, Jamie, Henry, Linda, Nicky, Sean and Jack)

The Goldbergs from The Goldbergs (Beverly, Adam, Barry, Erica, Albert and Murray)

The Shannons from Terra Nova (Jim, Elisabeth, Josh, Maddy and Zoe)

The Donovans from Ray Donovan (Ray, Abby, Connor, Bridget, Terry, Bunchy, Mickey and Darryll)

The Baudelaires from A Series of Unfortunate Events (Violet, Klaus and Sunny)

The Hecks from The Middle (Frankie, Mike, Axl, Sue and Brick)

The Chances from Raising Hope (Jimmy, Virginia, Burt, Hope, Maw Maw)

The Russos from The Wizards of Waverly Place (Alex, Justin, Max, Theresa and Jerry)

Thank you, so much, Pencho! That was so nice of you. Unfortunately, I've only seen two of these series ("Blue Bloods" and "Ray Donovan") but I've added the family from "Blue Bloods." I haven't seen all of "Ray Donovan" but from what I've seen, it's darker than I want to go for this poll. I've also been looking into the others and I'm sure I'll use a few. I found out that one isn't really a family, though ("Chuck") -- it seems his girlfriend/wife is really only an FBI agent keeping an eye on him, I guess? But, like I said, I'm sure I'll add a few more and I really appreciate it!

I did watch Chuck, they get married in the fourth season. The other couple is the main character sister and her husband.

My vote: The Cranes from "Frasier"
2nd: The Gilmores from "Gilmore Girls"
3rd: Nandor, Laszlo and Nadja from "What We Do in the Shadows
4th: The Bartlets from "The West Wing" (not shown: Zoey Bartlet, their daughter, played by Elizabeth Moss)

My family has binge-watched "Frasier" multiple times and binge-watched "Gilmore Girls" at least once.
