Yes, the 9 in the title refers to his shirt number. The poll is a tribute to Karim Benzema. King Karim is one of his nicknames.

At first, I thought I could make it a list of exactly 9 famous people, in which case the title KB9 would make sense. But then I realized there were more than nine, so I put the number in a parentheses instead. But I get why it's confusing for anyone who doesn't follow European football. Still, I would like to keep the 9 in the title, if there are no objections. :)
