Suggestion: "I See Dead People"

@Breumaster​ Hi Breu! How are you? I've been sick so it's been quite a while since I've been around; I hope you're doing well. Thank you, so much, for the suggestions. Do you know which characters in these films see the dead people? I saw 'The Others' but can't remember. I've wanted to see 'A Ghost Story' for quite a while so I'm guessing it's Rooney Mara's character?

I'm ok so far, even though I was at the hospital for some last times. But I'm ok now.

In the others there was a short notice of the actual home owners, but it was only a noise they heard. I guess I got the challange wrong. The little boy in 'The Sixth Sense'. Ghost-viewings in 'A Ghost Story:

1. The ghost of "C" (Casey Affleck): Dies in a car accident, rises under a bedsheet in the morgue, and returns to his old home.

2. The other ghost in the next house: When looking out the window, he sees another ghost standing under a bedsheet in the neighboring house, waiting the same way.

3. People who feel him: The main character "M" (Rooney Mara) can't see the ghost directly, but occasionally senses his presence (through sudden drafts or sounds) before moving out.

Thanks, so much, for the clarifications about your suggestions! I guess 'The Others' is the only movie that fits the poll? I saw that film but a long time ago but I did a bit of research and it seems that Victor is the only one who actually sees the ghosts so I've added him to the list. The photo isn't the best, though, so I uploaded another and IMDb accepts it, I'll use that one. Anyway, does that sound right to you — that the little boy, Victor, is the only one who actually sees the ghosts?

Oh, and I'll also include this film in the spoiler alert in the intro.

@TheOldJalapenoman​ Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. Those long stays are not fun: for me, after a week things can start to feel quite dreary. I hope that you are feeling much better and on the mend! 

@mariojacobs  Hi Mario, thanks for the suggestions. I added Luke. I should probably have room for the other two but I have a question about them because I haven't seen that movie or series in a very long time. If you happen to remember, do Conan and Al they see their dead people just once or more often? If it's just once, how much focus is given to these sightings?

It's interesting that I completely forgot that Obi-Wan and Yoda were dead. They're so iconic that it's like they seem immortal. 

And thanks for the Al Bundy suggestion because I never saw that episode so now I can go watch it.

I think a spoiler warning in the intro is probably sufficient. Remember that we can't click on spoiler tags in the options before voting.

Also, I wonder if it's better to exclude Kate from Last Christmas since it isn't revealed until the end that she can see ghosts. It might be too big of a spoiler.

@Jessica​ Thanks, Jess. I haven't seen Last Christmas so it's up to you. I'll leave her on for now and if I don't hear from you in a few days when I finish, I'll take her off the list. 

I've seen Charmed but I can't remember enough: (did Peter mean and) do you think that they'd need a spoiler too? Oh and I won't use the old spoiler alerts and instead, add a warning to the intro. Thanks again.

I don't think the Halliwell sisters need a specific spoiler alert.

I'm not sure about Kate, I just thought since the movie is pretty recent (compared to The Sixth Sense which also has a late reveal) that it might spoil the plot for some people. But maybe it's OK since you added a clear spoiler warning in the intro.

@Jessica​ Ok, cool: I'll keep it in. I also put the entries that are, in and of themselves, spoilers at the end of the list so people can perhaps look at other choices if they want to while having a better chance at avoiding the spoilers. 

I didn't include a spoiler alert for Sixth Sense since it doesn't hint at the twist late in the film.

1. Jess was right finished yet have things at the beginning to catch my attention and remind me when to work on them. 
2. Danny is listed twice because I can't decide on which photo to use but I'll probably go with the second so his face is seen, lol. 
3. I hadn't been able to work on the list for a long time so I'm playing catch-up with suggestions. I just added your suggestions, although I have more suggestions than spaces so it's possible I'll have to delete one or two of yours.

@TheOldJalapenoman​ According to Google's AI, Tru Davies gets indirect communication from the dead but doesn't ever see them. Do you think that's right? I don't know if the sources that AI uses are reliable.

@rubyfruit76​   The answer is yes, she does talk to them briefly at the beginning of each episode.

Go to the imdb page for the series and watch the video there.  It will show one of them waking up, turning to her, and communicating.

Are any of your comments still marked private?  A little over a year ago, after being away for a good while, I came back to be an admin again so I suddenly went from no posts to a whole lot of posts and I started to get those "private" notifications a lot. It was so frustrating. Peter said that it was likely happening to validate my account and after a while, it never happened anymore. I hope that they stop for you, as well. 

@rubyfruit76​   If I mention anything about the world situation that happened between the 1930s and 1940s, especially the names of the leaders of a certain European country, the post is marked private.  If my posts talk about the cessation of life, they are marked private.  If I use words that could possibly be considered mild swear words, even if they are in the titles of films, my posts are marked private.

So, yes, I still have posts on here that are marked private.
