Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida died on January 16, 2023, she was 95 years old.
Lollobrigida became one of the most famous performers in the 1950s and 60s and she appeared in many movies both in Europe and Hollywood besides the biggest stars of her time.
Considered at one time to be "the most beautiful woman in the world" and was nominated for BAFTA and Golden Globes awards besides becoming a multiple winner of the David di Donatello award in her native Italy.
After retiring from acting, she had a career in photography.
Lollobrigida was described by Italy’s deputy prime minister, Antonio Tajani as an "Italian icon in the world".
