Seventh Anniversary of the IMDb Polls

Today, 4-September-2020 marks the seventh anniversary of the IMDb Polls.

 

I would like to thank the 415 authors with published polls and more than 1000 people who suggested polls. This achievement is due to their creativity and effort and the thousands of IMDb users who vote in these polls.

 

Thank you Col Needham for trusting the IMDb user community to run the poll on a day to day basis.

 

Special thanks go to two members of IMDb’s technical staff who implemented the poll and provided guidance and technical support for the first two years. Thanks also go to the IMDb Editors, who have provided support and guidance on polls since June 2015.

 

Finally, I would like to thank the other poll administrators: Rafael, ElMo, Jen, Peter, Jessica, Drevnibor, Rubyfruit and Pencho.

 

We had our 9000th poll, Favorite Poll Category, go live on 15-May-2020. As of 27-August-2020 the polls had 19,228,764 votes. As of today 4-September-2020, we had 9381 polls go live with the latest poll being Are you a Thinker, Doer or Dreamer?.
