Maybe it could inspire a poll about soviet union films? or who could play Mikhail Gorbatchev for a biopic (an old balding and stocky actor who can pull an accent, maybe Mark Rylance?)) or  memorable birthmarks in the movies?

Anyway, he was a brave man, a courageous leader and an inspiration... leaving a great legacy for the future generations. Not sure if USSR is taught in high schools now, but I still remember the good old Perestroïka and Glasnost...

It's a hard question for me. I'm in two minds about Gorbatschow. I still know the feeling when Glasnost and Perestroika were slogans, which promised golden times for the U.S.S.R and the hope of a better future for everyone. But now we see that the successors did good acting to fool us. 

I won't make a poll about him, especially not because of the situation at the moment, which already causes tough poverty in the lower third of the population in our land. And we are one of the richest countries in Europe. When there is no gas, there is no gas. And we will face rough times in the last months of next winter, when the capacities run low. I know in America the problem is far away, but Europe will get in touch with bad times. It's not only gas, all prices ran high. This month we got an inflation of 7.9 percent. Food is getting more and more expensive. Fuel will get more expensive next month. Politics run hot on searching for solutions.  According to my sympathy for the Ukraine I won't make a poll about Gorbatschow, but I thought it's fair to point out his passing. So maybe someone who is not so in two minds about him will do.

Maybe someone would make a poll about with movies like Tango and Cash, where Perestroika and Glasnost was mentioned by a Russian. ... "... Welcome to America!" (quote of Kurt Russel). Or Rocky IV, which fell into these times.

Somebody else should make a poll about his death. I'm out of ideas. The best I have is:

Cahier du Cinéma Directors. I could modify the description to: "Jean-Luc Godard was the last of André Bazin's disciples at the Cahiers du Cinéma and an incredibly influential and revolutionary filmmaker in his own right. With him, the last breath of the French New Wave has been extinguished. 

Which of the belated Cahiers du Cinéma directors was your favorite?"

PS: I would also make a poll about the Left Bank. However, The problem is I'm reticent to pit Godard against other New Wave filmmakers. Truffaut would win, and it would undermine the purpose of the poll: pay a last tribute to Godard.

In passing, it is also hard to recognize Godard's importance in the French New Wave. He probably wouldn't have liked it. Throughout the years, he hated more and more other directors (who he tought commercialized themselves) such as Truffaut.

Until late on the 12th of November, 2022, I hadn't known about the death of a somewhat unknown new actor by the name of Taylor Sanders (b. 25th of February, 2004; d. 16th of June, 2022). I had only seen him in a bit supporting part in The Reliant and as a child rendition of a season antagonist in Fear the Walking Dead (episode "TEOTWAWKI"), but apparently he had also been better known for portraying a child version of a lead character in 9-1-1: Lone Star (episode "Impulse Control"). Given his youth, I was a bit stunned to find out about this. Based on the timing, I have to wonder if he was fresh out of high school when this happened.

Oh my God, that's a shocker!

He only got to experience roughly a couple of years of senior citizenship. I hadn't heard about this one either.

I'm not familiar with her work.

Love to her! Mostly all of the nowadays pop music can't compete with such excellent music. I hope she found her peace.
