LIVE POLL: Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary 1930s Movies

On April 4, 2023, Warner Bros. Entertainment celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding as Warner Bros. in 1923. It released its first film, Where the North Begins (1923), starring Rin Tin Tin, a few months later. Over the next century, Warner Bros. would go on to become one of the original "Big Five" studios and still holds the distinction today as a current "Big Five" member. Its parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery is an international conglomerate with a foothold in all facets of entertainment and a nearly 25% global market share. As a result of its hundred-year effort, the WB movie catalog currently includes a whopping 12,500+ feature films.

Which of these select Warner Bros. produced films released between 1930 and 1939 is its greatest accomplishment during this period?

@urbanemovies ,

The code for the "Featured Poll" is slightly different than the code for the rest of the page. Occasionally, some text will render strangely for "Featured Poll" but look fine when it transitions to the rest of the page.

It's possible that you have some embedded non-printing characters in description field of your list. In that case, the list code and most of the poll software ignore these non-printing characters.

If you wish to pursue this future, I recommend that you look at the raw text of the description field of the list to see if there might be non-printing characters. Sadly, I cannot review the raw text of the description field of the list.

@dan_dassow  I checked my polls to see if I could find a commonality and it has happened to others. I suspect it has more to do with hyperlinks. At the first, I thought it related to linking to outside websites, but in this poll all the links are to IMDb. I have seen it about a half dozen times in the past 7-10 days, sometime to multiple polls in the same day.

These might be the culprits, • (7), a + (1) and a % (1). There are nine ? displaying.

@urbanemovies ,

Something even more curious. The question marks disappear when you:

@urbanemovies ,

I checked further. The question marks only disappear when all of these conditions are met:

  1. You are logged in
  2. You select https://www.imdb.com/poll/?omitTaken=true
  3. Your poll is the only poll not taken.

Again, this is very curious.

@dan_dassow Again, I thought you should know, if it becomes more of an issue. I also posted a thread on Data Issues thread titled, IMDb Polls: Soft. Glitch or Poll Creation or External Link??? and have been posting examples as they pop up. I appreciate you looking into it futher. Right now, it is simply an inconvience and I wanted to know if I could correct it myself by not doing something in my poll suggestions. Thanks, again for your time and attention.

@dan_dassow

I am reporting a non-issue, which means either your team solved this issue or it was created by the poll author, likely by using outside hyperlinks to cite sources.

Just curious? Why do you have the following five tv series and movies attached to the end of this poll's initial list? You must have added them on after the poll went live.

@Tsarstepan I did add them after and they are equally part of the Warner Bros. production family. They were only visiting and now reside in their permanent decade appropriate TV and movie lists.

@urbanemovies That's not really an answer. Why are you messing with an active poll's list? Especially when it's past the 35 limits? And literally not part of this poll's question (date range and scope)?

@Tsarstepan First, how do they temporarily being listed there for a couple minutes to an hour or so affect the active poll? Second, how I manage my own lists on my personal account really is my own affair. Third, the answer is the answer, if you do not like it, I have no control over that.
