@mariojacobs, I agree the United World Organization's Security Council is a fictionalized version of the U.N. Security Council.

@urbanemovies , My vote: North by Northwest (1959) When I first started at McDonnell-Douglas in 1981, they celebrated NATO Day (April 4) and United Nations Day (October 24). Employees had the Monday off during the week of these anniversaries. Ironically, I visited the St. Louis Arch the day John Hinckley Jr. shot President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981.

@dan_dassow Quite candidly, I am surprised there are not more movies to choose given its been around seventy-five years and would seem to be a pretty good plot device to incorporate into a screenplay.

@urbanemovies , https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053125/trivia?item=tr0753174 Sir Alfred Hitchcock couldn't get permission to film inside the U.N., so footage was made of the exterior of the building using a hidden camera, and the rooms were later re-created on a soundstage. These are the guidelines for requesting permission to film inside of UN properties. https://www.un.org/en/ccoi/page/guidelines-0
