@urbanemovies ,

My Favorite:

Julie Andrews as Eliza Doolittle in the 1956 stage musical production of My Fair Lady on Broadway (New York), in the West End (London)

I would loved to have seen Julie Andrews' performance on stage. Sadly, I was too young at the time of her performances. I have a vinyl LP recording of West End (London) performance.

There are typos in the names in options for Martine McCutcheon and Joanna Riding.

Looking again, that is surely a picture of Audrey Hepburn and not Martine McCutcheon. Did you upload it?

@Peter_pbn

You are right that is Audrey Hepburn pictured in the role. I deleted Martine McCutcheon as an option.

@dan_dassow Nice twist. You probably know the origin of chosen date for Eliza Doolittle Day then.

@urbanemovies ,

I know the song "Just You Wait" by heart. I had, however, did not make the connection to Eliza Doolittle day until you pointed it out.

Darn, I'm now hearing Eliza Doolittle singing "Just You Wait". I'm not certain whether I'm hearing Julie Andrews or Marnie Nixon singing.

@dan_dassow, Happy Eliza Doolittle Day!

I ran across these two tidbits in my research in case you didn't know them already. It cost $5000 to dress like Eliza Doolittle, the "before" version as featured in Vogue 1991 with Michelle Pfieffer. I am baffled it was fashionable to dress like the before version. Plus, the story of how Audrey Hepburn beat out Julie Andrews for the 'My Fair Lady' film role.
