An inpressive list of talented actresses have played conflict reporters and conflict photographers in past movies. The body of work of award-winning front-line stories and images generated over the past century by real-life women reporting from a war zone is just as extraordinary. Some of the best and most famous of these women, who ever carried a notepad or camera into combat, have yet to have their stories cinematically told. It is no wonder that top actresses like Jennifer Lawrence, Rooney Mara, Hayley Atwell, Gemma Arterton, and Carey Mulligan, among others, have been linked to future film adaptations of the memoirs of some of these amazing women. The stories of these women, as they reported from conflicts around the globe, as well as, their intriguing backstories seem ready-made for a big screen biopic.
