In theory, there should not be any Gen Alpha on this forum. Because Gen Alpha according to your definition are at most 9 years old.

I know. I don't think we should encourage people to break IMDb's Conditions of Use. Anyway, it is impossible for their account to list an age younger than 13 years old. So, as per IMDb's stats, there are no people under 13 years old, people who vote for this option would either be lying to us or to IMDb.

Right, and we shouldn't tempt people who've broken certain provisions of the Conditions of Use to needlessly expose themselves. I mean, getting underage accounts frozen/suspended isn't some kind of big-time dire imperative, or worse yet exposing potential inaction. With the re-push functionality, the option for the generation succeeding Zyklon/Zoomer/Doomer/Zephyr can be added later.

As a bit of inside Internet folk history trivia, here is a story. One time, back when this discussion forum was on the Get Satisfaction site/platform, we regulars were graced apparently by rising star Brayden Scott, who created a thread to rally a crowd to help to boost his baby sister's STARmeter score. Some of the contributors here quickly realized that the particular actress's only older sibling was a child himself. Well, it figures that child would ask for this to be done for a small toddler. I sure hope all their hard work trying to rise in the industry pays off and that their parents aren't placing too much pressure on them.

A younger millennial, I'd imagine; perhaps much younger than Brian Bonsall. To my recollection, Family Ties wasn't rerun very much in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

@jeorj_euler I was born in '88. I more think its because I'm English, to the best of my knowledge they didn't really show Family Ties over here, or if they did it was really a big deal or spoken of often.

You could add Silent Generation (1926-1945) and Greatest Generation (1905-1925). Although, there is probably not many.

@cinephile Agreed.

The members of the Greatest Generation were my scoutmasters, school teachers, neighbors, grandparents, Sunday School teachers, and mentors growing up.  Their sacrifices and choices will live long in the memories of the people they affected.  Their example was exemplary and will never be surpassed,  I have sadly watched many of these people pass away and attended many of their funerals.  Their love of country and of their fellow man is something we should all emulate.

My maternal grandfather was in the Navy and was part of the occupational forces in Japan after the war (after spending three years in combat).  He proudly wore his officer's uniform every year for Veteran's Day parades and was pictured in several newspapers for doing this, even into his 90's,  He would never, however, tell us any war stories and never bragged about his service.

My father, of the Silent Generation, stood in salute and removed his hat for the flag every time it crossed his path,  He always tipped his hat to the ladies and opened and held many doors for them.  He always stopped his car when a funeral procession passed.  I remember watching the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon Landing as a little boy and seeing him crying when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin planted the American Flag on the moon.

These people, though there wouldn't be many votes, should be remembered.

I'm generation oldschool according to any newer generation. The main problem is that many people of any newer generation often aren't ready to understand the curiculum of older generations, but want to rule instantly. So many things get lost, which is a loss for all at the end. Some young people try to understand. But they are in the minority. At the end it's very clear. All achievements of humankind are left to a new generation. What they do with the achievements can help humankind when our own lives are gone. It's the heritage they get from us and what they do will not affect us, but them and their progeny. If they are intelligent, they will use that spiritual heritage righteously. If not, humankind is just a minute  in eternity and after all meaningless.

I've always had reservations about the traditional span of the Baby Boomer generation. I'm pleased that experts have identified those born between 1955 and 1964 (coined as "Generation Jones.") This distinction is relevant because it highlights a group that wasn't born immediately after WWII or to WWII veterans, coming of age during the era of disco, the oil crisis, and experienced less prosperity in general. I think we should take these in-between generations into considerations. For instance, although I'm classified as a Millennial, being on the early end of the spectrum means I share many characteristics with Generation X. I feel more like a Xennial, though I do exhibit some typical (irritating?) Millennial traits.
