#4: its fellows

#6: Marty Gilbert Caring

#7: Caring for Ariel and his reputation facing Triton. Loyal, but dying a hundred deaths inbetween, somehow.

Hahahaha, this is such a sweet poll that also has a nice dose of humor: for example, just seeing Beaker makes me laugh. 'Nicely done.

In the intro, it says "According to Google, a "wuss" is defined as "a weak or ineffectual person." That's actually according to Oxford Dictionary (or "Oxford Languages").

(According to Oxford Dictionaries, a "wuss" is defined as "a weak or ineffectual person.")

I've made the changes. To make it sound more official, I picked the term "Oxford Dictionaries".Thank you for pointing out, Ruby. I just won't change it here in the forum, because of the known site-troubles. ;)

Beaker is a nice therapy for kids. When I was young, I had someone to look down on in a kind way. Always thought that he is such a wuss, but also liked him. In deed he is one of the most sympathetic guys for me on the list. ;) And Professor (or was is Doctor) Honeydew is also one of the best. They both gave me the most beautiful laughs in my childhood. I guess they do even today. :D Gosh! I got to have to watch the Muppets again. They're so lovely !

I  watched it: how funny. I especially like the Simpsons at the end and the fruit in the middle, lol. The fruit really intrigued me because at first it's just straight-on funny but then it turns and becomes this Lynchian blend of the macabre and surreal humor. : )

And yeah, oh my gosh, I love the Muppets, too! And I did as a child, as well. To this day, "The Rainbow Connection" is one of my favorite songs. And yeah, Beaker is great. Just to look at him makes me smile.

These captions are also really good. I love the caption for Chunk, especially the use of "a feather in the wind," lol.

I suggest some edits: a few are very picky but this poll is so good that I think it deserves to be really polished. The edits are in bold.

#3:  introduce; everyone

#4:  careful but also

#5:  danger but at the end, knocked Biff out when

#9:  situations — bizarre ones.

#11:  Bit: Logical, even when it's fearfully upset. Always decides yes or no for its fellows to make the right decision to cope with the situation.

#13:  Hesitant in critical situations

#15:  in between

Oh, and I don't know what #6 means.

Corrected all, except "Bit - ..." because in all cases I wrote the name and then added the text with a hyphen. I wouldn't make it in another way at the Bit's-option to keep continuity. Or is that completely wrong by grammar?

Breu, #6 could perhaps be simplified. It's hard to know what you mean by "Traumatized beholder of empirical correctness."

I've changed it to a better description.

The description for #6 is much better and completely clear now.

Oh, about the hyphen: I agree that it's important to keep it consistent. I'm sorry that I hadn't noticed that every caption used hyphens. To answer your question, it's not an issue of grammar as much as conventions of style. Formally, hyphens are used for other things and colons or em dashes would be correct. However, that rule is not widely known or used among native English speakers so it really depends on how correct you want to be. I would completely understand if you wouldn't want to go back and redo each option and I think it would be fine to leave it as it is. Most people wouldn't even notice.

I think I understand. A colon would have been more correct. I'll redo that.

Thank you, Ruby. Sadly the vote-stuffers are back. That will make the results incorrect.

Tried to change the Intro above. Look what it looks like. Sad, sad, sad.

Sad, indeed, on both counts. On the upside, I can cheer myself up by looking at the picture of Beaker, lol.
