I've not even seen Christiane F., but yet I feel compelled to endorse that one just because of a fan-made trailer.

"Good Morning, Vietnam" is another good one. Honestly, there are a lot of great options, so folks might want to place forensic/historical accuracy above the feelings acquires from observation.

Great List, I will point out Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) is loosely based, Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985) is largely fictionalized and a couple others stray from their real-life stories.

But, all these biographical movies take liberties and I think all thirty-five options technically qualify as biopics. So, I think your poll suggestion is solid.
