I love the poll idea and the use of Speilberg as an example. But, it is impossible for anyone to select #12 Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), since it hasn't been released yet.

For your consideration for a catchier title choice,

Steven Spielberg, a Hard Act to Follow. Especially appropriate, since all three movies were so highly rated, not even Spielberg himself could match the first movie's rating.

Plus, I thought theme could be a bit clearer, so I added a few details to introduction. Feel free to use it or not, or to pare it for length or edit it otherwise to your liking.

I tried to explain why most great directors don't do sequels as a "general rule". I thought the expanded explanation makes the poll more interesting.

Great directors are always looking for new challenges and rarely cover the same ground twice. When they do, it is usually because they feel they have unfinished business, a desire to tell more of the character's story, or have a personal passion for the material. Over a fifty-year plus filmmaking career, Steven Speilberg has directed thirty-three feature-length stand-alone movies and only four sequels. Only the movies Jaws, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Jurassic Park that were directed by Steven Spielberg have gone on to become film series.

Which of these films that was spawned by a Steven Spielberg original movie is your favorite sequel?
