Besides the One Ring from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which ring from movies and TV is the most iconic?

Typo #7: Spectre ring

The ring from Twin Peaks is also known as The Owl Cave ring.

I would vote for The Three Elven Rings, but only out of respect for Tolkien. I am not a giant fan of The Rings of Power. I know they didn't have the rights, but they could have at least adapted The Silmarillion (or the part that was told in Lord of the Rings) a little better. Or not add all those new characters!

Anyone else old enough to remember the old Whisk commercials from the 1960's and 70's that were supposed to stop and clean up "ring around the collar?"

There's always the Christmas carol about the Twelve Days of Christmas that sings about "five golden rings."

From the television show Laugh-In, we have Ernestine the telephone operator (played by Lily Tomlin) who would say "That's one ringy dingy, two ringy dingys..."

Gary Lewis and the Playboys had a hit song in 1965 with "This Diamond Ring (doesn't shine for me anymore)."

Johnny Cash used to sing that "I fell into a burning ring of fire..."  The Johnny Cash Show aired from 1969 to 1971.

I could go on forever with songs that mention rings.  There are also boxing rings and wrestling rings.

I'm not sure if Jack Sparrow's and Commodus' rings are really iconic, aren't they just rings that they wear? I guess there should be a story behind an iconic ring, or it should be part of the plot.

Perhaps The Ring of Thieves could be included:

You could perhaps add the names of the Elven rings (Narya, Nenya, Vilya).

I think the vampire ring from The Vampire Diaries is known as a Daylight amulet or Daylight ring.

Maybe you can still say that those are the Three Elven Rings, just also include the names (for example: The Three Elven Rings — Narya, Nenya and Vilya).

Hi, Aris.

I made up this idea 6 years ago. Maybe we could do a first and a second part? What do you think?:

I correct: It's already a poll:

https://www.imdb.com/poll/WVZA7eScQ8w/

But since it's 6 years old, there can be more rings, now. So why not. :D

Sorry, Aris. I just saw these rings you have put on your list are completly others than I used.

Thank you for your deference, Aris. In retrospective, I think it was a little hyperbolic to point at it. My poll was 6 years ago. I didn't realize how long it was released, already . Maybe it wasn't really necessary to delete them after that amount of time.

I don't think there was any need to delete options since Breu has a different question in his poll. It's a different poll altogether.

@Jessica ok I will include the options
