DC,
I know you have been doing these polls for some time now. I also realize it is a snapshot in time and a couple of people may get in or be left out that normally reside in or out of the Top 35 that share the same birth year. Still, there seems a lot of notable names that were left out by taking this approach. These notable Top 100 names of people born in 1923 that didn't make the final cut surprised me a lot; I would have thought they would have landed higher, with the exception of Allan Melvin. It is also possible, since the StarMeter is based on homepage views (I think), and most of the names (5/7) that I found surprisingly absent were TV stars. IMDb has a likely built-in bias against them, perhaps because it favors or is used more for movie and movie-related searches. Two of these individuals are among the top-earning 25 dead celebrities in the 21st century. You would think that if they are popular enough to be making money from their fame, then they could make a list like this that pits them against a much smaller pool of competitors.
FYI, these three names are listed @ #33, #34 and #35 on your list are currently ranked today @ #57. Irvin Kershner, #67. Dev Anand. and #78. Arthur Hiller.
My suggestion is going forward. Maybe a blended approach of taking the top 20 or 25 based on the StarMeter and hand-picking the last 10-15 options from the remainder of the Top 100 names based on name recognition, industry impact, and perceived popularity might yield a better list. It is also possible, my American viewpoint and exposure to American programming might be influencing the names I think belong, when IMDb has a more worldly take based on its global reach. Anyways, I thought I would share the feedback.

DC,
FYC, a little more detail might make this poll suggestion clearer. Plus, I would consider adding an "As of March 1, 2023," to the introduction to cover yourself, as the poll gets older and its snapshot data more dated. Plus, I think it is tricky when it comes to speaking of the dead celebrating birthdays. If you are careful you can imply it, without actually saying it.
These notable individuals were born in 1923 will mark the 100th anniversary of their birth in 2023. As of March 1, 2023, these are the most popular 100 years olds according to an IMDb StarMeter snapshot of who's popular based on the searches of millions of IMDb users.
Whose lifetime contribution to his/her respective industry have you enjoyed most?

Isn't it hard to be 100 years old if you're dead?
